Pies miss out on yet another big fish!

What cards do you hold?

Fevola stays you have no money to trade players to your insipid club.

If he goes, you will not get anywhere near what you believe he's worth.

No forward line, no backline, just down hill skiers for a midfield.

BTW, why are the Scum now wanting to back out of the McLean deal?

actually mate, we have plenty of money.
Juddy has extra salary paid to him via visy for his role there. doesnt enter our salary cap...
Fev is only on 400k next year and then 800k in 2011, but 50% of that goes onto the ventrans list so isnt counted.

we have plenty of money to throw about.

Heard he had a crack at Gibbs' mrs for not moving to Melbourne.(she still lives in Adeliade obviously). She went home balling after Fevs' expletive ladden tirade.

The big word was Judd wants him gone.

Who are these players that Collingwood have missed out on getting in the past, and please don't use BF threads as proof

Tony Lockett (chose sydney instead)
Jonathon Brown (knocked u back twice)
Nick Stevens (a stubborn malthouse wouldn't get the deal done)
Chris Judd (chose the blues instead )
Nick Davis ( said see ya later because he wanted to win a premiership instead)

No wonder Eddie had a stiffy when signing Bucks and Mick, the one bifg coup your team has had...

Shore up Brendan Fevola and there you have a big goalkicking forward line and a chance to be at least top 3.. or miss out on a big fish AGAIN!

I'll give you Lockett
Brown didn't move anywhere?
Were never going to trade Didak for fatty
Judd chose Carlton for the under table payments
hmmmm and yes somehow we failed to lure Nick Davis?

It seems almost certain now that Collingwood have dropped off in the race to land their big fish!

Collingwood power brokers have decided to offer up their #14 pick in the chase for Sydney big man Jolly.

As this is the case they have now diminished their chances of snarring what could be a big chance at a flag next year with the inclusion of Fevola.

Collingwood approached Carlton on Friday with a first offer of their second round pick #30 along with Dawes, at which Carlton scoffed at.

Port have since come in with an offer of pick #8, #24 and Salopek in exchange for Fev and Hampson. A much more reasonable deal that Carlton seem to be seriously considering, included in this deal, would be Carlton paying 300k a season of Fev's salary.

When will Collingwood power broakers learn that in order to gain a big name player in trade time, they need to offer up something decent in return.

Fev now adds to a long line of big name players that Collingwood have failed to land.

What is going on down their at pie land

I didn't realize trade week had finished? (let alone started)

Tony Lockett (chose sydney instead) board voted against trading for him
Jonathon Brown (knocked u back twice) us and everybody else, yes
Nick Stevens (a stubborn malthouse wouldn't get the deal done) Choco said "no" to 1st rounder and Heath Scotland because he wanted Didak. I'm seriously crying over how that panned out.
Chris Judd (chose the blues instead ) Judd wanted to come to Collingwood, but we decided not to offer what he'd cost, you guys tanked and so had the picks
Nick Davis ( said see ya later because he wanted to win a premiership instead) went to Sydney to live with his g/f and continued to go completely off the rails... nothing to do with us
You seem to be confusing being unprepared to pay the price, with throwing everything including the kitchen sink at a player and missing out. The only decent example you've provided is Jon Brown, and even then he stayed with his original club... good on him. Not everyone is a mercenary like Judd or Warnock. However even then, we didn't miss out on Brown because we were stingy in what we were offering.

I would say we missed out on Brown and Judd.

Lockett chose us, but our board voted against it.

Stevens? We chose not to trade Didak for him. How foolish of us.

Suprised about the op's claim.Mike sheahan said to G.Cornes that Fev had a go at Tredders at the brownlow and he almost punched the bejesus out of him. You'd think there maybe some friction there lol.

Have you thought for one minute what the outcome would be if we land both? Jolly and Fevola?

Do not kid yourself about Carltoons position with regards to the Fev trade. You are currently over a barrel with your pants down around your ankles. Even the clubs not really interested are walking by and putting a finger in your bum hole just to take your temperature!

We are sitting back waiting for the club with the biggest appendage to ram it in there so we (all other 15 clubs) can hear you squeal!

This is sooooo much fun.................!

Can't wait for this^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^!!!!!!!!!!!!

I shouldn't laugh but the imagery is lulz-worthy.

HAHA... you're a joker. Jolly is a far better proposition than Fev. No baggage, brings more players into the game and leadership material. As if the Pies would play their Fev card right away. I have no doubt that they will be trading for anothe pick to offer the blues which they would take a serious look at;)

It's a simple matter of priorities. The Pies had the 4th most potent forward line in the AFL this year with their two KPPs aged only 21 and 22 with Dawes, Brown, Reid (and maybe Rusling) in reserve. While I agree Fevola would be an opportunistic pickup, he wouldn't be brought in to fix a pressing need.

Our ruck is by far and away our biggest weakness. Though I'm sure most opposition fans will disagree, Wood is coming along nicely. Fraser though seems to have been hobbled by knee injuries and his future seem less certain. Wood can't carry the ruck by himself but he'd make a great second ruck to Jolly.

In the end, it's simple. Jolly offers more than Fevola based on Collingwoods current needs.

Spot on, and:
1) Jolly is not a loose canon, &
2) We get to deal with Roosy (who isn't scum + we should have some credits having given him R.Shaw & N.Davis for next to nothing)

How good is the typical guido Carlton supporter to the left in his Playboy trackies, fully sik.
Shadd-up Uleh!!!! DO NOT TALK OVER ME OR TRADE FEV!!!!!!

otherwise this malaca will swivel kick you to da head!!!!!!!!!! you skippy ****
