All of our players are putting in an effort, but not very many of them are actually getting results at this stage. Waters, Bones, Cox and Wirra have all been excellent IMO. For the youngsters Masten and McKinley have been good.

I think it is easy to look like a player isn't trying if they are out of form, not getting the ball to them in the forward line, etc. I would be pretty surprised if most players in the league weren't trying their guts out. It is easy for us not playing to critisise, but without knowing the behind the scenes info it is hard to make an informed comment.

Bones- Best back we have.
Waters- our only real hard nut player, going well.
Hurn- Playing better, improving every week.
Wirra- playing all over the place, filling gaps and putting in.

Of the New crew (1 year or less)
All of them, when they are given a chance. Don't play them once and drop them only to bring back a proven clanger.

All the rest need to improve, some more than others, and show they want to play AFL even if it means 2-3 good games in a row at WAFL level.
