These threads might be this kids saving grace or "escape" from social issues in his life.

Sounds unlikely I know but it potentially could be. The amount of threads in the last month created by him is alarming.

My serious question is: Why? Does he not have friends? Is he alone in this world?

Mental health issues can affect anyone. No one is immune. Maybe we are validating his existence by replying on his threads. Sometimes you just need something to live for.

Now I know all the above sounds pretty far-fetched, but maybe we should all think twice before we engage in mocking his attempts at threads.

Apologies for the long-winded post. I'm a counselor for young people with a mental health diagnosis. Just seemed a bit close to "bullying" in numbers for mine. I'm not suggesting we're doing it deliberately.
