Why would i research before making a post on a BF forum? lol

If you do that then you obviously have far too much time on your hands...:D

No dont have to research just have got a little knowledge on the game and if you going to make statements at least make sure you get them correct. That is all im saying other wise you look like you have no idea. just trying to help you out

Ok you are doing the research so would you mind listing all of the players who have done it?

It would be appreciated.

Cheers.
the players that have done it are

Greg Williams Brownlow 86 & 94 Norm Smith 95 Premiership 95
James Hird Brownlow 96 Norm Smith 2000 Premiership 93 & 2000
Simon Black Brownlow 2002 Norm Smith 2003 Premiership 2001-2003

You helped by being informative and listing players of relevence to the topic, not by telling me to research before i make a post on bf.

The whole idea of the bigfooty forum is for people to debate and give there ideas and thoughts. If you think you have something which may contribute to a thread then you present those ideas/information. If everyone researched before making a post there would be no point in even having the website.:thumbsu:

You debate about opinions mate not facts. Just like you cant debate about who has kicked the most goals in VFL/AFL history you can however debate on who is the best forward of all time. In the title thread there is nothing to debate you can only state the facts.

So next time correct my mistakes instead of telling me to go research facts. I will let people like yourself do the researching as it is of no interest to me.:thumbsu:

Brownlow, Norm Smith & Premiership

James Hird
Greg Williams
Chris Judd
Simon Black

Brownlow, Norm Smith, Rising Star

Nathan Buckley

Brownlow, Coleman

Tony Lockett
Kelvin Templeton
Bernie Quinlan
Malcolm Blight

Norm Smith, Coleman

Gary Ablett

Brownlow, Premiership, Rising Star

Ben Cousins
Adam Goodes

Agree with that mate. The sheer quality of that list speaks volumes for the point made too - except that McLeod hasn't won a Brownlow. ;)

Yeah Mcleod lost the brownlow to Akermanis by 2 votes.

Mcleod got 35 touches in rd20 didn't poll a vote.
McLeod also got 37 touches in rd22 and didn't poll 1 vote.
;)

Norm Smith is one of the main awards not the NAB rising star.

Voss, Hird, McLeod Judd and Williams have all won a brownlow, Premiership and a Norm Smith and in my opinion that is far more important than say a NAB, Premiership and Brownlow.

Chris Judd has won a Brownlow, Premiership, Norm Smith and a NAB rising star which sets the bar for all future players. :thumbsu:
No he hasn't.

Cousins has got all but the norm smith as far as the most important individual awards go.

Buckley has all the individual awards but no premiership, so these guy are the closest i think.

Judd can't win the rising star while there's an extremely small chance cousins could win a norm smith, and an even smaller chance buckley may win a premiership.

Seems McLeod was pretty stiff then!

A bit like Jimi Hird in 2004 in the West Coast game after that umpiring controversy. 34 disps (27 kicks 7 hballs), 7 marks and 3 goals, including the winning goal in the dying seconds from the boundary line yet he didn't get the votes in arguably his greatest ever game.

I seem to recall back in 93 when Waggers won the brownlow, Diesel Williams missing out on the votes after getting over 40 touches....
He was a very close second behind Waggers so he was a bit stiff there also.:thumbsu:

Yes i have already been corrected on these points but thanks for also pointing this out.

The highest achievers are:

Brownlow, Norm Smith & Premiership

James Hird
Greg Williams
Chris Judd
Simon Black

Selwood at the moment would be the only one who could be capable of going one step further although he has a long, long way to go before he gets close.

Adam Goodes is a chance to get a norm smith to add to Premiership, NAB and Brownlow's but i doubt whether Sydney are going to playing in the GF any time soon.

I think that's pretty well right. The only other thing I see as *possible* is Goodes finishing his career at FF and snagging a Coleman. Hall and O'Loughlin are a lot older, Goodes can't run like he does now forever at his size, and he makes a pretty handy forward when played there. Just possible, not likely.

So Goodsey would then end with Brownlow(s), Premisrship, NAB rising star, Norm Smith and Coleman. Now that would take some beating in the future!

no chance in hell. hes built as a mid and will never play ff and win a coleman. ryan lonie has more chance...

very unlikely to occur.

only type of players capable are lance franklin or jonathan brown as they can kick a large amount of goals and impress the umpires resulting in brownlow votes.

yer but id rather win the norm smith because it proves that you can play on the big stage. Plus the norm smith evokes that you are a better player and worthy of a higher title. ie Michael Gardner is never refered to as NAB rising star but Andrew Embley is always refered to as a Norm Smith Medal...

I wonder why?

Oh and in 1992 Ben Hart won the award when it wasn't sponsored by any company. It was for the best first year player.

When did Cousins win his second premiership medal? He only played in one (2006).
