I'm sure you could find a list at least as long for Smiths/Jones/etc. that have played footy. Hardly an interesting read though.
 
Not a footballer but there is some unfortunate reporter for channel 10 with the name Harry Potter.
his sons play for pennant hills
and one has a scholarship (cant remember if its sydney or hawthorn)

plus a son of one of the other 10 news guys was in my team (Sydney Sport, Perth anchor (at the time (2007)))
