List Mgmt. Playing Langdon (and even Ballantyne)

Langdon may also be more likely to stay if he is playing. If he is still a tad undecided, but playing at Peel, then that would almost make his mind up about leaving. And like others have said, he has played so few games that without playing more at AFL level, he is worth practically nothing. At least we might be able to show he is a decent prospect. There's been a doubling in production from his last 5 games compared to prior games. Absolute no-brainer to play Langdon.

It's a win-win to play Langdon, he performs and we either get more for him at the trade table or we sign him up and it's in his best interests to simply play and play well.

What you are assuming is that Fremantle has conceded that Langdon is going and that by playing him we are robbing other players the opportunity of playing .Well sorry but Fremantle prides its self on retaining players from over east so they will do everything possible to keep him . Ballas wants a longer contract and his manager is trying to get him just that . D Pearce just got a 2 year extention and Ballas wants the same so he has played his opening bid and expects the club to make a counter bid and give him a 2 year deal .Let the games begin .
Morabito is a totally different story , the fans want to give him a big cheer before he goes and the Club needs a good story to finish the year which has gone so badly . I would suggest that he will be named in the team in the final fixture so that he can thank the fans for all their best wishes .
The senior players will be asking ,demanding that the Club gives Mora a farewell game .The Club should agree because it will give the fans a warm fuzzy feeling inside and encourage them to sign up their membership when Pav and Mora walk off the ground together for the last time .

Putting sentiment aside, Mora does not deserve to walk off the ground with Pav in the last game. Harsh but true. If the game is about any player (and it is not) then it is Pav and him alone.

I have no doubt Morabito won't play a game of AFL this year... with him I'm not completely convinced he'll be cut this year. Maybe rookie delist/relist pending on Peel's finals campaign and training over summer.

His Engineering gig over east to be fair would probably be around the same pay as a rookie salary; may very well come down to his personal choice.

I'm not convinced Langdon's leaving either.

Because up until round 18 (prior to him coming back into the team) he would have fetched us a 3rd rounder. Now he is probably going to be closer to a 2nd rounder after his four consecutive 20+ disposal games (averaging 24 disposals since coming back into the team).

I think all the Freo supporters have rated him as being a talent ever since he debuted in the WAFL last year, but unfortunately externally those type of little-known players are prone to getting their club lowballed at the trade table due to not having much "big stage" hype.

That's the worst case scenario, best case would be that these games endear the club to him and he sticks around for another contract. He will be a very handy winger over the next 10 years - probably a Rosa/ Sam Gibson as a baseline. He has elite endurance and elite leg speed (2.92 seconds) so that is definitely the pedigree of a 2nd rounder when combined with his ball winning ability, as far as I'm concerned. With some impressive exposed form now at AFL level it should ensure that at the very least we get duly compensated if he does leave.

The boy just needs to tidy up his kicking as that is what will have him falling in with the Rosa's and the Gibson's and not reaching higher.

He might need to tidy up his kicking which most young players do but he has a very good kicking style, gets great distance and is very competent in front of goal. His upside including his kicking is enormous!!

Really happy for Langdon to keep playing. It is more likely he has told the club that he will make up his mind at the end of the year, if Ballas leaves he just might be offered a significant increase and long term contract that may convince him to stay - people change their minds and he is unlikely to be guaranteed games at Hawthorn or Collingwood (like his brother).

Ballas manager is playing the game and there is a lot to play out on that yet. I don't agree but you never know maybe the club will change their position and give him the 3 years. Happy for them both to continue and DeLuca is not getting a game because he is simply not AFL standard.

Colin Young sees D.Pearce get a two year extension in May but all other players have been placed on hold. Of course he's going to test the market for his client(ballas). it was very poor decision By B.Lloyd to renew D.Pearce's contract when 3 months later he is poor disposal puts in in the "cya late mate"category.

I have a Ricmond supporting mate who was shaking his head when Richo retired. He was being driven around the ground at half time of a game and in the car behind was Graham Polak. To give Polak the same treatment as Richo was rediculous, just as it would giving Mora and Pav the same treatment.

Deluca isn't in the same class bracket and struggles at wafl level so why gift him a game because of rumours on Langdon

I thought Delucas form in the WAFL over the past 4-5 wks has actually been very promising. His pressure around the ball is intense also, no that it's worth a game but I certainly wouldnt say he has been struggling at WAFL level by no means.

Agreed, worst list management decision of the year. I could have handled 1 year and find it very hard to believe that he would have knocked it back.

I was referring to the last few years. He has lifted a bit since he was rookie elevated

I hope to see a bit of deluca in afl, sometime a player play better in afl ,eg walters.

But some player like suban play the same afl or wafl.

Yeah only watched him as a Subi player a few times and he played well. I just expected a bigger improvement now he has been in the afl system
Sometime we need to see that peel is still in the process of improvement , interm of game plan , chemistry . Balance is very important.
