And easy to play anyone can kick a round ball(just look how good the women are LOL!) and BORING to watch.
I suppose you enjoy watching seagulls fighting over a chip? Thats entertainment AFL style.

Poor troll, mainly as you say soccer is "real football", but then call it soccer. If you were a "real football" fan, you would call it footie, football, futsal. Not soccer.
Pathetic sucker as you will forever be disappointed remember this is Australia not europe LOL
BTW as far as the dying thugby goes Brisbane Lions AFL got a bigger crowd than the Broncos 30,000 to 27,000 this weekend and the second game at ANZ Stadium last night also had only 9000 like the friday one .
Then you have the pathetic one town team Storm with a mighty 10,000 at OP last night
RL is really thriving = NOT!
I think Storm crowds will increase by a lot when they start playing in the new stadium. OP is a dump.
The two Rugby codes and Soccer (Real Football) offer opportunities for young Australians to play for big money overseas. AFL offers ........
Sydney LMFAO
I think Melbourne Storm are realistic about the size of the crowd they can attract to the new stadium. That is why they fought to keep the capacity below 20,000. A crowd of 10,000 won't look so bad in a 20,000 seater stadium.
It was only pressure from Melbourne Victory, who have already got 22,000 members, that got the powers to increase the capacity to 31,000, with foundations strong enough to support an extension to 50,000.
The idea that Melburnians will turn out in huge numbers for any sporting event only applies to sports they like.
I get the impression that many of them resent having the Herald Sun ramming the sport that it is financially involved with down their throats all the time.
.
Storm will start improving.
elbusto, you're a fool.
Rugby league players can go to England? Wow, thats amazing.
Heres an idea. Why go to England for some extra dosh, when you can stay in Sydney, or Brisbane, and actually be accepted by the people who like your sport.
Do some people actually realize how insignificant the Super League is? It is a blip on the radar in the English sporting landscape.
As for soccer, I love it, and Im shattered that our best leave the shores, but I love the sport, MVFC, and the players coming through. They may go overseas for better money aswell, but ultimately the reasons for their move are TO IMPROVE AS PLAYERS. The NRL is the top rugby league competition - yet players are flocking for money over the actual competition. Pretty pathetic really.
Second most watched sport on Sky Sports in the UK behind the Soccer, not bad for an insignificant blip on the radar in the English sporting landscape.
Popularity
Rugby league is one of a number of sports vying for (distant) second place to Association football in the nation's affection. The MORI Sports Tracker consistently reports that rugby league interests around 15% of British adults. It was the fourth most popular team sport in the February 2005 list behind football, cricket and rugby union;

Let's see, they can play in England, France
And quotas allow for a maximum of just 36 players !
And then there is also New Zealand ... are they even really considered another country ? I thought they were our 7th and 8th states
Monster choice there.
Don't worry, Aussie Rules will go semi-pro in the USA or Canada before long, then you'll have lost your last vestige of gloatability.
Stop lying.
Hehe, this type of stuff must really piss a heap of the guys on this board off, I feel good
And btw, RL already has semi pro clubs in Yank land.
Hehe, this type of stuff must really piss a heap of the guys on this board off, I feel good
Lalalalala.
LMAO. Americans, judging by the advertisement below on the official American Rugby League website, seem just as confused as most Australians when it come to Rugby League.
Is it, Rugby or League?
Whatever man. The AFL is the richest, most followed league in Australia, I bet your lot would love to have that title.Second most watched sport on Sky Sports in the UK behind the Soccer, not bad for an insignificant blip on the radar in the English sporting landscape.
Something Andy Demented would kill his poor old mum for, but knows the code will never escape the shackles of Victardland
So what do the fans of said code say at times like this?
Ohh, we don't want anyone else to play AFL, it's ours blah blah blah, yep, a nice cop out if I ever saw one and a nice way of diverting the fact that no one else wants said code in the first place.
Vitardians, they know how to play the game
Both codes over there are known as Rugby, they don't use League or Union much at all as most wouldn't know the difference.
Is there an echo in here?
Is there an echo in here?
I don't see your point. You do realise that Rubgy wasn't invented in Australia, right? It's not as if the NRL has expanded overseas....
