I was able to get through and get an order confirmed through the gamesmen not that long ago if anyone is still trying there. Pretty ordinary they only had bundles with an extra controller, but I wanted one anyway so worked out for me. The site was a complete mess though so fully expecting to get another order cancelled email at some stage.
Yeah it'll probably be like Bloodborne in terms of exclusivity

I'm actually intrigued by the Hogwarts Legacy game.
I got a pre-order, but I feely pretty aggrieved at Sony's lack of respect to their fanbase.
Say they'll give plenty of notice then say literally nothing about pre-orders, people in the US got completely screwed with the rumours it was on pre-order tomorrow, then just dropped today instead.
Going on about a generational leap and then dropping that their big franchises are coming to PS4 as well.
Which I'm totally fine with, but it was a classic bait and switch.

Remember reading an email yesterday from EB with a step-by-step instruction on how to preorder the Series X, wait 10 mins before have your deets all ready to go etc.

I pre-ordered the disc version but I kinda wish I went digital. It's such an ugly system, at least the digital has the symmetry. Will definitely get Demon's Souls, not sure if I'll bother with anything else. I'll get the multiplats on the XSX on the 10th.

I feel for those who missed out, honestly I’m lucky I was working from home today and it’s payday. If it was this time last week I rekon I would’ve missed out.
The ones I don’t feel sorry for are the self entitled gaming “personalities” bitching because they missed out. Like Sony isn’t going to look after them, Sony will have it in the hands of anyone with a bit of influence.

Yep, imagine getting locked into $120 a game if retail ends up back at $69 or $79 when the dust settles.

Yep. Wife originally said no to me getting one as we have to sort our 10K+ landscaping. But said I can if they do decent price with trade in. I waited for the email that EB said they would send if I signed up for the expression of interest awhile back.
Nothing came so I jumped on at 1pm and saw they were already preordering for 2021. My controllers prob wont last that long as they barely last an hour before they need charging and I just cannot justify buying a second hand controller online for $70
I blasted my EB store when I called up asking why I didn't get the email or any notification as I signed up. They said there was no notice and the guy I was speaking to said he was only aware when a mate told him that they live online (so not even EB gave their workers the heads up) and he just got his console at 8am.
The timing was terrible for those who had to work as people are getting ready for work around 8am.

Irrelevant. The game is installed on the hard drive if it's disc or digital. Same space is taken up either way.

Could cross your toes as well.
Games since PS4 have installed themselves on the consoles rather than be read from the disc because it leads to faster loading times.
