Yep. It’s becoming easier to let my sub expire next July.
 
Mine renews next week. I've already dropped it from Deluxe to Extra, and again to Essentials. Trying to work out what value there is in even keeping that? I don't really go back to old games, so the saves aren't a big deal (and would have recent ones still on my PS5 anyway), I don't play online games and the monthly games have been garbage for a fair while now. Was there any other perks?

May end up scrapping it completely.

I'd take a budget online play + cloud save option if they had one. Even with the coming discounts I still don't know if I'm going to resub. I made to sure to play anything in the catalogue I wanted to play before my sub expired and there is nothing coming that looks like it will change my mind.
 
I only turfed my Series X because I had the PC with Gamepass. But it's hard to justify keeping the PS5 now.

Might get a black friday sub purely to churn through the backlog (might actually force me to stop pissing around) and then trade the PS5 in.

There’s so much good stuff on there but I end up playing new games I’ve paid for. Slay the Spire was the best get from the PS Plus catalogue for me.

If you're like me and let your sub expire after the increase then to grab Extra (doesn't look like Essential is included) at 30% off it will be around $120, but a 20% discount puts it back at the old price of $135.

Where exactly can I find this on the ps store? My renewal is tomorrow and I want to make sure I get this deal.
When I go into manage subscriptions it’s telling me that it’s still $169.95?

This always confuses me because there are like 5 places to check subscriptions. If you can't through the manage subscriptions then maybe through the store itself.

Otherwise if you have the PS app you might be able to do it from there. It might be different if trying to renew, but as I'm not subscribed currently, on the app if I go to the store, then click the hamburger menu icon and manage subscriptions I can get to this

Yeah I can’t find it anywhere. Maybe I have to wait until my ps plus runs out.

I am getting the non-sale prices even when I am logged off my account. It’s possible that the sale for PS Plus has already expired, even though the sale runs until the 27th.

Although I would suggest turning off auto-renewal (if it’s active), letting your sub expire tomorrow and check to see if you get the sale price.
 
It's rather unfair, I'd top up on my current (Deluxe) subscription if there was a discount attached to it, but alas they're not giving a discount to it if you're already on the top tier!!! $196 is crazy beans, but would be much more palatable at $150ish or less. I went from essential to Extra to Deluxe in quick succession (figured topping out to the max was worth it instead of paying the full price at the time, wayyyyyyyy before the prices officially rose) late last year to earlier this year.

But as I read earlier in the month, the discounts don't count if you're already subscribed to xyz tier. So this is really more for subscribers who want to go up a tier or 2, or previously expired accounts OR new users.... not so much for those of us who are already subscribed but would happily extend.

My Deluxe subscription ends mid next year, if I have to wait that long to (maybe) get a discount I'll be sad.
I still have gotten a lot of use out of the Deluxe sub - played many games I otherwise would not have touched on my own accord.

So they only give you a discount if you go to the next tier? That’s probably why I can’t see any discounts as my current subscription is the top one.
That is horrendous.

I'll decide at the time . I could live without it as Rocket League is my main multiplayer game on that console and its free to play. But there's also the fear of missing out!!

I'm currently not subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online service, that expired months ago. I don't use the Switch often enough (daily or weekly) to benefit from it. But what I have done in the past is subscribe for a year, and have 4-6+ months off before subscribing again.
 
I play quite a lot of the monthly games so I get some value out of it. I'll probably not renew next time though. I jumped in for another year before the recent price hike but I think that will do.
