Suddenly opening up the economy and freedom of movement is a bad idea. It's tragic that Germany can come to terms with it's dark history in less than one hundred years while two hundred and thirty years on her some still struggle to come terms with the cold hard fact that Australia was founded by a hostile takeover, the repercussions of which still cause huge issues in society today.
What about the fact none of us were here 230 years ago? Why on earth should someone born in the 80s, 90s or came here after as kids and now call australia home, feel guilty for what happened historically. No one condones what happened, but we cant change it. I wont be made to feel like a guest in my home country and any idea of #PaytheRent or its equivalent is covered in the large sum of tax I pay. I receive no welfare other than medicare (which thankfully never need but will as i age) while 2% of the population gets roughly 50k per head of funding via different means.

Free housing (which gets trashed, replaced, repeat). Free schooling which their parents never take them to. Massive sums of welfare. Alcohol and drug use from a young age. Remote communities like tenant creek go without saying. Im not painting everyone with this brush but thats shit they need to fix themselves. Nothing the enemy whites can do about that. Where does it end? How do we "bridge the gap".

It's telling that the NSW police minister is all good with pedophile coppers strip searching teenagers but doesn't want this march to go ahead.
You've almost have a bit of a weird obsession with kid fiddling and accusations.

We’re still waiting for the Italians to apologise to the Tunisians for their destruction of Carthage.
Don’t hold your breath.

So where does police brutality that isn't against minorities fit into all of this?

Everyone has seen the video of the cops pushing the 70-something unarmed, non-aggressive white guy to the ground then walking off as he just lay there. Now that obviously enforces the notion that police brutality is a major issue, but does it detract from the #BLM stuff at all? Is a 'police are violent towards everyone' narrative going to take momentum away from highlighting police brutality against African Americans? The latter being a bigger issue, pro rata.

George Floyds GoFundMe has received $12m donations.

Minneapolis is seriously considering disbanding the Police Dept.

The Minneapolis police department should all stand down together for a few weeks, and then when the community comes crying and begging to them, reluctantly start work again as the "good guys"

Can't wait for the rioters and looters to start having their homes and businesses burned down, and when they beg the cops for help the answer is "sorry you didn't want us"

Entire squad quit. Pathetic human beings not admitting to doing wrong...

The push was justified, he was asked to get back a few times. To not render assistance after he's clearly hurt is callous. I hope all 57 + the 2 stood down are charged tbh. Terrible people

And Fox viewers have helped this man that lost everything rebuild his house and life.

Plenty of good people out there on both sides. Not that this hard working father will get 12 million.

Interesting there’s no anger from modern Australians towards the British for their treatment of indigenous Australians.

That gets filed under people not alive in 1788 wanting a free pass.

It's still true that Terra Nullius was declared by the British, not by Australia because at the time there was no 'Australia'.

Well of course it doesn't mean each and everyone of them is a shit person.

Some might be good people.
Nah, they did the wrong thing then defended the wrong thing. Anyone half decent doesnt quit to defend shit people...

If my coworker steals a bunch of money and gets stood down, i dont quit in solidarity with them. The push on the man, fine, he was told. To not render assistance when clearly injured, shit people. Cant be disbuted in this instance

George Floyd was an absolute dirt bag. Does that mean all his friends are for sticking by someone who did what he did?
