Swear no one has said it, but I'd wager the reason they went snap lockdown is because we've all been complacent AF. We don't scan, we can't contact trace because hardly anyone used the lists or app, we don't social distance and we largely carried on as if life was normal.
A shock to the system if you will, because once they announced it we smashed out the app and everyone was wearing a mask almost instantly. Bet you the next time round we might actually be able to use the 'NSW Gold standard' because we'll be better prepared if community transmission does happen.
