I went and it was a low energy affair. Perhaps 200 seats available and only 125 members turned up. Mostly supportive of what the club was doing; no pitch forks at all. Koch was his usual slick self but mostly went through the motions; the Warrent Tredrea thing was a media beat up that I think was appropriately dealt with, Richo ummed and ahhed a lot and sidestepped the “chasing greatness” promise, but the club appears to be tracking ok financially to consistently be able to be at 100% of football spend (although Koch did think that this year would be a recessionary environment that will impact in clubs).

When matters turned to football things for me got decidedly underwhelming and I just did not get the vibe when Hinkley spoke that there would be anything different to look forward to (he said we would play faster and so on but we have heard that before). Junior seemed rapt when he spoke as did JHF (who has an infant half-brother who is just like him and who I did not know about until tonight whose existence would partly explain his desire to come home - although the whole thing with the Hornet’s biological dad being out of his life for a very long time is something I don’t know much about but not sure that whether it is unresolved and has an impact on JHF personally and football-wise).

All in all tonight did not inspire confidence: Hinkley will be gone by round 11 if not before.

Constantly benchmarking against 2012 even though 90% of the stuff they're windmilling about was achieved by like 2014 and it's now 2023.
Imaging how ****ing unbearable they'd be if we actually achieved something on the football field.

The only RuNwAy™ I want to hear about is the one Hinkley is departing from once he is finally shitcanned.

It's a good thing to be financially strong, so we are headed in the right direction for sure, carbon neutral etc. whatever..... We just lack cred in the premierships department, or even getting close.

Imagine our balance sheet stayed the same financially since 2012, would Koch and the board still be here? yet the coach lingers...

You must admit it's a ridiculous thing to put out there? aside from the sponsors making it laughable.

Being sponsored by Santos makes it ridiculous, but pretty much every corporate organisation is at least claiming to be going carbon neutral. It's not something worth getting upset about, especially when there's the issue of kochie scamming old grannies that wasn't addressed

I now firmly beleive Hinkley is only a sideshow, Koch is the true PAFC antichrist.
He always has been, it staggers me it's taken so long for others to realise this. Hinkley rightly cops it for on field performances, but he's not the problem. Koch always has been as he enables it and has done since 2017

Just FMD on the club working towards being "Carbon Neutral".

Whilst collecting money from SANTOS mind you.

maybe we can change again to ‘we exist to be carbon neutral and make our community proud’. The premiership is never going to happen so why even bother with mentioning it.

The fact they even raised it is pathetic - like they need a pat on the back.

We also recycle

We play in a sport that draws thousands of people by modes of transport to floodlit power churning domes with surrounding amenities every weekend lol it's just a dumb thing to put out there.

This has always been true. Hinkley can't get rid of Koch, but Koch can get rid of Hinkley, and he hasn't. Hinkley is a symptom (albeit an incredibly painful one), Koch is the disease.
