You know 99% of the time inappropriate touching and grouping in nightclubs goes unreported because victims feel the reporting process is too difficult or that what happened didn't constitute a crime because they were at a nightclub.

It appears she went to the club first and it may not have even occurred to her to go to the police.

There's also no evidence she has asked for any money and considering payment in cases like this usually entail the victims silence she likely hasn't.

I just don't like people immediately discrediting when they don't do things the way you want them too.

I personally didn't say she asked for money or her motivation was financial gain. What's troubling is the accused is now covered in mud before any investigation has taken place. He'll be tried in the media.

Channel seven literally reported Ryder as being arrested for assaulting police which never happened. Channel 7 adelaide have a pretty poor record

I tend to agree that the media overplay stuff at times and in this instance I didnt expect to hear the players name , nor an interview. There could have been a bog standard ' Channel 7 News understands a Port player is under investigation' etc

Then again there are many many stories that disappear

Pretty sure it completely rules out any legal action happening. Would be hard to get a fair trial with his name smeared everywhere.

From my very limited perspective, sexual assault is hard to prove at times, and all this does is open the door to having a follow up defamation case thrown at the victim.
