Young ‘Eddie’ Charlson looked like he copped a pretty bad roll of the ankle, with SPP on the sidelines for a few weeks could see Tommy A pinching a couple early if form warrants.
I assume the coaching staff will more than likely plug a veteran if Powell-Pepper gets weeks but I would love some fresh, young legs running around in the forward line creating havoc.

Friday 1st of March. On Kayo 7:15pm SA time. Game starts 7:30pm. At Alberton Oval.

Will likely be a much reduced side. Possibly 23-26.

Pending the injury list: Todd Marshall (Foot) and Drew (Shoulder) could be in line to play.

Predicted Changes:
IN: T.Marshall, Drew
OUT: Georgiades, McKenzie, Sinn, Mead, Charleson (ankle), F.Evans, Visentini, Scully, Anastasopoulos, Lorenz, Walsh + SANFL listed players Brazel, Chamberlain, Baldwin, Turner, Short, Stevens, Byrne, Launer, W.Ferrari, Carter, Cockatoo-Collins, H.Ferrari, Szust, Roberts

Predicted Team:
F: Finlayson - Dixon - Rioli
HF: Powell-Pepper - T.Marshall - Horne-Francis
C: Jones - Wines - J.Burgoyne
HB: Burton - Aliir - Bergman
B: Zerk-Thatcher - Ratugolea - Houston
R: Soldo - Butters - Rozee (C)
INT: Boak - Williams - Byrne-Jones - Drew - Farrell - McEntee - Sweet - Lord
EMERG: Mead - McKenzie - Sinn

Judging by how he looked and moved in the trial game I see no reason why georgiades wouldn’t be playing in this game and round 1.

I also think mead deserves another run, I thought he played pretty well.

I’d also play McKenzie.

I don’t think there is any chance sweet is going to play round 1 so he can probably come out. Ditto SPP but for other reasons. Doubt lord plays either.

Don't think we need to be cooking Soldo in a trial match. 2-3 quarters and Dante or Sweet have a run.

Ok?
Club sent me an email advising me to click on the Ticketmaster link to get tix.
Go onto that site and it has a link for members, with concession tickets (which my son gets) at $15 each.
Nothing about members getting in free.
Is the club scamming members for more money?

I'm a season ticket holder and my ticket for Friday is listed on the membership section under “my ticket” but is not yet accessible.

Patience young grasshopper. I suspect all will be revealed this week and not everything is a Port conspiracy.

These games are AFL sanctioned and organised.

The tickets aren't free and they went on sales a few weeks back. I only managed to get 2x general admission passes for $5 each. The seats for the grandstands were all already sold, they were $10 each.

And yet here is my ticket on my phone? Allocated to me as a season ticket holder at zero cost without doing anything - same for other members of my family. I assume access with the ticket will be until capacity is reached.

Would advise all season ticket holders to check 'my tickets' on the Port App.

You can be a member without being a season ticket holder of course.

Ah FFS, I didn't read the initial email properly.

Just going back over it, it says you need to buy a Ticket through Ticketek to secure a spot. Not that you need to buy those tickets for access.

So I now have 2 tickets I pointlessly wasted $10 on plus 2 free membership tickets for GA. I did think it was stupid that I was having to pay this year.

I guess the only thing that has sold out then, and where people can't get now is the grandstands then, which were all booked out through the online sales.

They wont reach capacity for the game, so can't see anyone having an issue getting in with a GA pass.

Yeah I’m able to access this for free through the app as well

Suspensions definitely do not count in pre-season, they are served in the home-and-away season, so he can play. It's why Pickett was playing for Melbourne in their match sim.
I'm hearing that there was a rule change at the end of last year which gives the AFL the option to allow suspensions to commence in the official pre-season (i.e. the official trial against Freo on Friday will count)

We'll find out in the next couple of hours if that's the case with Peps.

Don't feel bad, you're not alone. I made the same mistake but spent $25 because Ticketmaster would only let me buy 1 x $5 ticket and I had to spend $20 on the extra ticket. I thought you had to buy the ticket because Ticketmaster sends them to the app and the email said to access the ticket through the app.

I'm pretty sure it was his calf, poor guy was in a lot of pain on the bench with tears on his face

Seeing as we have a couple hundred half backs, give Dylan Williams a run up forward for the trial game. He's capable of kicking multiple goals as a forward and will have learned a bit about defensive play as a half back. And he can swap on the ball.

I do prefer him across half back because of his composure, overhead marking and kicking, but try something a bit different in the trial game.

Narkle for me.
