Port v Norwood

Norwood won by 6 points tonight. Was a shocking contest...really bad skills bot hways. The scoreline sort of flattered Port. Norwoods running players were too good. Ormond Allen looks ot be another Sam Phillipou up forward. Kicks 10 goals in a game in round 3, then kicks about 10 goals for the rest of the year!!
Werent as sharp tonight...but i cant remember the last time Port won a game under lights. It would be in 98 i think...and before that it would be in about 93!!! Port Magpies are shockers under lights!

Port probably would of won the game if Norwood didnt get free after free after free in their forward line. They ended up with abou 15 frees in their forward 50 for the game!!! Seeing as on average there is about 3 frees per game in the forward 50! Whenever Port would get 1ithin striking distance, Norwood would get a free in front of goal!!

Pooleys first game back and did fairly well. Robertson and Bamford injured themselves. There was a bit of spite in the game...Rhino took on 3 Norwood players at one stage and beat them all! Looking forward to next week!

Macca19, I to was there as an impartial observer and thought the game livened up in the second half. Both sides got frees in front of goal (would suggest that ormond-Allen was lucky not to be reported from one incident I saw in the southwestern pocket in the last quarter). Norwood probably won most of the positions on the ground yet won by only 5 points. Good game though.

Thanks for that Macca. I have been trying to find the score all night. I couldn't make it to the game tonight maybe that was a good thing because I didn't have to put up with those Norwood supporters after the game telling us how good they are. I see Bamford injured himself again, he has never been the same since he had that knee injury. Anyway its still early in the season don't worry Norwood we will get you next time.

The scoreboard attendants are shocking at Adelaide Oval. They missed three behinds during the night...two points in the first quarter, and a point in the last...which if Port scored a goal, they would of won the game, but everyone would of thought it would be a draw!
The finals score at the ground was 6 points...in the paper today it said 5 points!!

Ormond Allen was shocking last night. I thought Sandford was lucky not to get reported for decking Robertson. Port got 2 frees in the last quarter in the forward 50...norward had 12 in the last half!

..........and sadly I missed the game

Ormond allen looks like he has been to the wayne mahoney school of kicking - yes he should have been reported.

As for him being like sam phillipou 10 one week then 10 for the season - well the eagles did not give him the flick because he could play!!

Nope Mickan gave him the flick because he would not commit to the team training preferring to do his own rehab for his back & other problems when returning from footscray.
