The game was lost when Dixon and Houston went off. Remarkable effort we held on until when we did, should have won, would have if not for the be umpires, would have been a massive wink going into September.

Would have instilled belief that we can win without Ryder and Dixon

It’s an outcome of trying to “buy” a grand final. Culture comes from developing your own leaders and hardness

We have no underbelly, we are miles off a premiership.

Who steps up when it counts?

good question. Where are the...
Players who "will" themselves to contests when others don't?
Players who "present" when others stand still ?
Players that are willing to "exert" intimidating physicality within the rules?

Of all our players, I think Dixon and Ollie Wines are the most likely to stand up and be counted.

This lack of passion or care shits me. How many more apathetic press conferences do we have to endure. I can't imagine Chris Scott or Alistair Clarkson saying stuff like this. From the head coach down this group lacks the killer instinct needed to be a good club. Not even a great one, just a good one.

I give up.

Ken didn't actually write that

Disagree. They'd already kicked two quick goals in the third before this happened. We had them 28 points up and instead of going for the jugular, started protecting a lead. Was always going to end badly, umpiring or no.

Let's be honest, we get the same kind of umpiring howlers every week, and Paddy has been playing injured (and having his TOG heavily managed) all year. Our inability to close games has nothing to do with either of these factors. Perhaps if we had played a backup ruck and maintained our structures we might have been able to return to a semblance of the form we saw in the first few weeks, so that's just stubbornness on the side of the selectors.

Collingwood and GWS have had arguably an even heavier injury toll than us, and still manage to win the games they need to win.

West Coast played their no2 and no 3 choice ruckmen today. We have no such luxury and that is thanks to inept list management.

Both very good points 4 point Margin and we were robbed one and you gifted one. That win was gifted to you.
Take your emotion out when making comments.
That bump on Cole will probably result in a fine and as for Ryan's mark well just ask any neutral supporter. That's a mark every day of the week.

It came of Pittards hands first ? Do you not understand the rules ?

Ok, How about the push in the back on Westhoff just before the kick to Mcgovern ? One was pain against him earlier in the game why not this one ?

Must be hard being looked after every week.

This to moon and back if you’ll be my babay

Why trade Lobbe and Jackson if Frampton “isn’t ready” honestly just punch yourself in the balls guys it’s less painful than the current regime

I just had a look at the replay and to be honest it wasn't conclusive whose hands touched it first. Umps will usually pay that more often than not.

I was more thinking break the hoodoo.
Boogitie boogity

If my club's season had been ended tonight I'd look elsewhere to try to make myself feel better too.

Mate,
I’m in Amsterdam and I could see Pittard had first hands on the ball.
Not saying it cost us the game but it definitely didn’t help!!

Our season didnt end tonight. We were dead in the water weeks ago.
I have had time to come to terms with our cluster ****.
You guys need to still live through a rollercoaster thats coming off the tracks.

At least we didnt get so painfully close to a flag before it all unravelled. That must sting.

We have a semi decent coach and some guys we can sack.(hopefully)
You got Ken and Voss for 3 more years.
As much as I’d like to say GAGF you’re right

Oh well maybe if you don’t send the boys to mind **** camp you’ll be back (resembling dads army but back probs)
