Position Changes

Who should gain dual Position status from their early form?
No-one. Mid-season position changes are absolute bullshit and one of the reasons people are no longer playing AFL Fantasy.

Callum Mills touted early on to get Def status added, but looking at his heat maps so far and the fact he was named at HF on the team sheet (which AF has declared is a factor too), I doubt he will.. has been playing HB for sure, but unless they are feeling generous I dont think we will get lucky.

Which sucks as I picked him up in Elite in anticipation of him getting dpp..

Hodgey getting injured means he defs wont either, Brandon Ellis to get Def maybe if he keeps this up??
Cant think of anymore on the top of my head..

Any Chance Robbie gets Fwd status back? I have no idea where to find info on heat maps etc

What are Ellis' heat maps like? I have him and doubt he would get back but that would be great.

Surely Bernie Vince and James kelly are chances to gain defender?

Macrae from the dogs fed?

The only other I can think of is josh kelly? Any thoughts.

James Kelly (Ess) IS A LOCK! shouldve been defender to start with.

I have a feeling they will pick Ellis as a defender as something interesting ala: Mundy 2015. Which i really hope they dont. Hes a wingman who runs back to get alot of cheap ineffective disposals. Similar to say what a stanton or Montagna use to do. Brandon Ellis has spent 84% of his time in the defensive 50 or gained 84% of his possessions there, cant remember which one.

The others are no chance. Macrae more chance of gaining FWD status if thats what you meant. But wont still playing primarily midfield someone has to rest forward at every time from the stacked dogs midfield.

Id like to see

Guthrie, J.Kelly (Ess) and Mills gain defender status for sure at the moment.

I think Kamdyn Mcintosh is one to look at aswell. Pendlebury another however i think hes purely playing back due to sore ribs and actually played alot of midfield in the last qtr vs Richmond.

I hate the position changes, a lot a bs. I think you will find, with the rotation cap it will be harder this year to gain dpp.

Most mids/rucks spend a lot of time resting forward, when previously they would take a breather with the rotation cap. Personally I don't think these warrant position changes.

Personally, I don't give an f about heat maps. ie. Mids playing behind the ball etc.... Watching footy, you know someone like Pendles is a mid.

Whether you agree with it or not its gonna happen so we may as well smash out some thoughts.

Guthrie is a lock for D/M imo
Aaron Young will get F/M
Oxley a slight chance for D/M
Hodgey will likely get D/M later in the season, possibly round 12/18 changes definitely not round 6
McIntosh a pretty good chance for D/M
Matt Jones F/D
Picken/Boak potential F/Ms
Ellis/Kelly potential D/Ms

Hard to know what they'll do with real good scorers after the Mundy farce last season.

Of those the only ones id agree with are:

Young - Forward status added (If not already ?)
Kamdyn Mcintosh - Defender status added
James Kelly - Lock for Defender
M.Jones - Lock for defender added
Boak and Picken are big maybes. Boak still spending plenty of time onball in the last week or two.

Mills - Defedner
Hewett - Fwd

Pendles maybe Defender - hes only playing behind the ball due to sore ribs/broken ribs

I hope they at least hold off on DPP till round 12. Especially on guys such as Pendles, Ellis ect as theyre too much of the big names to change this early.

Completely agree Mundy was the biggest farce last year.

Its why im bamboozing them with twitter heat maps

Hunter, Ablett should be defenders along with Gaff if theyre doing the Pendles/Ellis thing. Every game ive watched Ellis has started as a true wingman.

I wouldnt be against guys like Picken, Boak getting FWD status as their big fish to show off.

Then Kelly, Kamdyn Mcintosh, M.Jones, Mills add defender

Hewett adds fwd and im sure there are others that arent fantasy relevant right now.

With there being so many good defender rookies, and so little mid rookies, is Mills getting def status even that good? I won't have room for him in my backline and I need him in the middle as there's no other options.

Have you got any rookie defenders you can export to the your forward line? It could definitely come in handy, especially if he keeps up his form.
