Greenwood- where has he been?
McKenzie - Skillful and with time
Hansen did well considering the experts on here said he couldn't play in the wet
Black - Thankful that Tarrant got injured or else we would never have seen this guy
Goldy - AA ruckman
Boomer - Did well not to deck Crawley
Thompson - coach should've thrown him into the centre bounces after half time
Grima - Best game for the year
Bastinac - did well i thought.
Add your own.

FootySmartSimpson put it best regarding Levi. His controlled savagery at the football is something that needed to be in the team from a lot earlier than this week. Yeah sure he let Fyfe off the chain the other way, but his sheer grunt and tenacity at the footy stands out like dog's knackers in a team filled with unaccountable, soft footballers.

McKenzie looks like a senior footballer. Unfortunately, that means we'll see him again in Round 6, 2015. Great kick of the footy, strong through the core, talented tackler. Love his work, needs full games.

Hansen had 18 touches, went at 88.9% disposal efficiency and had a staggering 11 marks in the wet. That includes 2 contested. Carlton would want to be giving up a shitload more than Matthew ****ing Watson.

Bastinac stepped up in the absence of Z & Cunners. Strong inside game, 14 contested possessions and 6 clearances. Anyone bagging him today has got no idea.

MacMillan was excellent. A few handballs to players under the hammer but overall very pleasing.

Atley was pretty good on Ballantyne.

Besides that, it's a barren ****ing landscape for positives.

Time to change avatar.

They didn't drop away.

Better structure & luck were in Freos favor in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters.

There's nothing wrong with the majority of the available talent. It's the blend, preparation and the way it is utilised.

Hansen really stood out when we got some momentum in the third term. Did well defensively and pushed forward.

Played well all things considered. He's really starting to step up now.

I think I'm starting to get used to the losses now, not hurting as much as they did earlier on.

It's a bad thing though, hard watching us dish up that crap after watched "Footy Flashbacks" featuring wayne carey talking through the 90's NMFC team..

You can really notice the class in both McKenzie and Black.

Black has already been covered, so I'll focus on McKenzie, who I was very impressed with today. Just looks like a player with class and he looked like a man who was desperate to keep his spot, which is more then I can say for a lot of his team mates. If he doesn't play the rest of the year I will be f***** livid.

Lachie.

Grima tried to make things happen a few times.

Black showed silk.

McKenzie, pleasantly surprised at his senior output.

Levi. I heart thee.

MacMillan was much improved.

Basti was good early on as a playmaker.

Goldie was ok.

But the biggest positive - we've killed the year finally. I won't labour on in false hope now.

I thought the effort around the footy was good. They had a dip. They played without luck and some individuals let the side down at times.
Just one of those years. It happens. We'll look back and realise how important 2013 was. Im sure of it.

Atley finally got the footy in his hands.

Thought hine done well on hill.

Greenwood was solid. Ziebell and cunnington will appreciate the space he will provide for them in the coming weeks.

McMillan had his best game of the year.

Goldy was solid.

Mckenzie impressive.

There is a team positive.

In the last 3 games we've conceded 65,66 and 67 points to the opposition - twice interstate.

Against Brisbane we conceded 62 point to the opposition so the defensive work is getting better. Other than those games we've conceded 87 or more points or more in a game in our other 8 games.

So maybe, just maybe the team has started to focus a little more on defence.

And Fremantle is a damn tough gig.

There are individual team positives but as a team the increased focus on defence is getting better.

Just on our defence over the last 3 games. We've conceded 65, 66 and 67 points to the opposition.

In all of Brad Scott's games from the last 3 years and this year, the only better defensive efforts, than the efforts over the last 3 weeks, have been:

Brisbane 62 points
GWS 54 points
WB 61 points
Coll 61 points
GC 63 points
Fremantle 45 points.

For completeness over the last 3 and half years we also allowed 68 points to Adelaide, Carlton 68, Fremantle 69 and Hawthorn 70 points.

So in the bigger picture our defensive efforts, which we've been lambasting NM over are changing.

Anyone else excited to see Greenwood Ziebell Swallow and Cunnington in the same midfield? About f***** time.

This is kool-aid talk.

We flogged a very ordinary side (St Kilda).
Against Gold Coast it was 11 scoring shots to 21 (in their favour).
Against Freo it was 9 scoring shots to 17 (in their favour).

The latter two games were in the wet. We've been flogged in those games.

TOTALLY AGREE!!!

Carlton would want to be giving up a shitload more than Matthew ******* Watson. I MUST WATCH A DIFFERENT GAME....MOSTLY CHEAP UNCONTESTED DISPOSALS THUS EFFICIENCY IS VERY DECEPTIVE, STILL MAKES POOR EFFORTS AND ERRORS, TOOK A COUPLE OF NICE MARKS.

Bastinac stepped up in the absence of Z & Cunners. Strong inside game, 14 contested possessions and 6 clearances. Anyone bagging him today has got no idea. WAS OK TODAY.

MacMillan was excellent. A few handballs to players under the hammer but overall very pleasing. HIS DEFENSIVE SIDE WORRIES ME.

Atley was pretty good on Ballantyne. HE WAS OK TODAY, I DONT REALLY THINK HE IS A DEFENDER, NEEDS A RUN IN MIDFIELD/ON WING, COULD BE DAMAGING IF LET LOOSE.

Besides that, it's a barren ******* landscape for positives.
