Given we've been given a small glimpse on Friday night against the Roos of what our rookies are capable of, who is most likely to be given the nominated status and who are you hoping gets it?
Garlett is an obvious choice to me, totally dominated in the limited game time he got, and is such a raw talent. He's just as exciting as what Betts was when he first arrived at the club and burst onto the scene. The only problem is i'm just not sure we can fit Betts, Yarran, and Garlett in the team at once. He's capable of midfield stints, evidenced in the Roos match, but i have doubts of him being able to hold his spot with such tight competition for spots. But even if he's played off the bench as an impact player he'd be quite handy.
The Sauce D) is another i am hoping is given the opportunity as he was very impressive for just his first senior outing up against a seasoned ruckman in McIntosh. He's had 2 or so years of experience at VFL level and believe he has shown the skills to be able to step up to senior level and provide relief to Cloke in Warnock's absence. This will also allow Kreuz to have more time up forward, which is where i can see him being more potent.
