Dea > Rocky
Adams > Howard
Not really happy with the bolded but I needed to do it to afford Rocky who I think is must have atm
Going a week early on Rockliff was a good move, big score.Nice team, the midfield is great.
Here's where I'm at post trades - went Laird to Hannebery and downgraded Dea to a 125k mid on the bench. Got $107k in the kitty for a downgrade/upgrade next week, I'll strengthen the backline by going either Tippa or Adams to someone like Simpson, Boyd, etc. Currently ranked 1,141 after a score of 2152 which moved me up a couple thousand spots.

I like your forward line (I traded Barlow 2 weeks ago )

My mistakes were probably:
- Starting with Sidebottom (who I traded out then back in due to his suspension)
- Trading out Barlow the week before he went 138
And to a lesser extent starting with both Rocky and Dusty (though they aren't so bad as I assume most did)
I also didn't start with Kerridge because I just thought he was too pricey, he turned out to be a great pick though.
Edit: I just had a look at the top side, Ross and Viney were great picks for whoever it is, and their forward line is strong too. They should probably trade S gray out though
I learned don't pick on NAB form as much. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Fantasy but boy did that set me back.I think the biggest thing i learnt from NAB this year is picking those guys who play heaps onball ie: S.Gray, Degoey ect but there team has a plethora of midfielders that will force them out. Not to pick those guys in future years.
I got Duncan after he fell to 425k and Hunter after 2 rounds. I traded in S Gray for Sidebottom, and then 3 weeks later did the exact same trade in reverse. I always go with guns and rookies and definitely recommend it. The problem with picking too many mid pricers is whilst some might be really good picks, you're guaranteed to get burnt by at least 1 or 2. Goldy over Martin to start was 50/50 for me which i was happy with, although Martin will be good from here so no need to worry. The other 50/50 that went my way was who trade in for S Gray after round 4. I was tossing up Fyfe (57 and injured for the season), or Sidebottom (144). I went with Sidey and made him captain. Shows how much of it is luck...Shows that Guns and Rookies is and always will be the way to go.
I actually opted against D.Martin and Rockliff.
Yeh i think you shouldve kept Barlow the only reason i did was because of Mundy getting injured otherwise he was gone. Then Fyfe got injured which helped.
I also started with both Duncan and Hunter which you didnt. However you jumped on them early it seems maybe with Sidbeottom downgrading.
Picking Goldy over S.Martin was something i considered purely to be unique and not really matter. Both had tough starts. Thats a huge leg up but i still feel Stef will come good and including last week probably avg about the same as him from here on in.

Nice teamShaw Biggs Adams Tippa Wagner Byrne-Jones (Hartley, Ruggles)
Hannebery C Tom Mitchell Dangerfield Duncan Zaharakis Steven Hunter Smith (Davis, Hewett)
Martin Blicavs (Currie, Frost)
D. Martin Hall Zorko Wells Kerridge Petracca (McCarthy, McGovern)
Current team after trades. My defence was great back when Laird wasn't injured and Adams & Dea weren't spudding it up, now it's a huge concern.

You need to try get some playing players on your bench. You have a lot of money sitting there which could be used for guys like Smith, Macpherson, Brand to name a few. Also, try sliding those mid/fwds in your midfield like Zerrett and Hall into to your forward line. This is my round 7 team post-trades.
Only my second year doing this though so please help out.View attachment 243526
