the difference is the Boyd/Montagna bye won't count for league games, but Swan/Pendles will and that's an awful lot of scoring to lose.

I really wanted Pendles as well as Swan since I think he'll probably go up to Boyd and Montagna level, but I didn't want two gun mids missing the same week. it takes a lot to cover that.

Granted, for one week in Round 7 scores will be low. But for 6 weeks leading up to that scores will be massive! If it's looking like a big deal, trade out one for Ablett in R7 to carry the burden.

Very strong team in my opinion, my only concern would be Adcock and Knights and whether they will stay on the park. Maybe downgrade one of Boyd or Montagna to a Selwood or Bartel and upgrade one of Adcock or Kinghts. Very similar team to mine before I recently made a few changes.

To whoever asked about Petrie and taking a donut in Round 1, I think I am going to wait till the teams are announced before deciding on my backup ruckman.

I originally had Jimmy Bartel in my mids ahead of Hodge, but with Bartel having tonsilitis is there any chance he may be a bit of a slow starter??

Also if you were to look for a cheaper option from Morton, who would it be?

imo there was nothing wrong with having Jetta instead of Duncan. you shouldn't have swapped just because that guy said to. Jetta was scoring like crazy in the midfield at the end of last year and has looked good this preseason in a team that seems to be on the up.

i think you've got a bit too much money in your mids and not enough in your defence. i have a feeling not having Harris will bite you.

don't forget Kangaroos have a bye in round 3 also. So I am thinking Petrie isn't an option till atleast round 4 but rounds 4-6 have no league matchups.

Petries value will either rise or fall after round 5. So if he kicks butt in rounds 2 & 4, then get him before his value rises after round 5

Okay yeah, look I'm a bit unsure really - as you can tell. maybe I should watch the Nab final and make my own judgement call on it. I do like Jetta, but also, don't have any Cat's in my team. Somehow that feels wrong too.

This is also a concern. Dont mind a drop in the 2 byes, however no one wants a massive drop. Might go away and think about a few changes to even it out. I'm keen on the Swan/Pendlebury challenge, but it's a bit of a big risk. Maybe too big... not sure

I got rid of Cooney now, apparently he is just coming off an injury.

I put in Nathan Foley who people seem to have forgotten about, he is only 235k, last year he only played 4 games due to injury but the year before that he averaged 25.8 disposals a game.

I think he is worth a look

I brought O'Keefe into my forward line now.

People have to be a little smarter, instead of taking Swallow straight up (bye round 1) pick up someone like Polec who has a bye in round 4. Come round 3 Polec has made you 40-50k with an avg of around 70 whilst Swallow is still frozen at 188k and you also get a look in at his form. Trade of Polec for Swallow and you will get another price rise after round 4. Happy Days.

Trade Polec after just the one price increase and waste a trade for 30k or so?
