Okay, here's my proverbial rubiks cub I call a team. The changes come in thick and fast and the look of aggravation and confusion on my face is growing by the day.

My major change was booting Leroy Jetta out of my line-up after the Nab final. Went missing in the heat of battle. Hell, even Leon Davis turned up for this game so why couldn’t he!?!

Jetta out, Mitch Duncan in. Kinda hoping Boyd and Bartel can ease the pain when Swannie and Pendles go on vacation in round 7. Mzungu out, to bad too really. Was gone before we got to know him. I Smith is in, pretty boring name in comparison.

Thoughts?

I have tried to utilise Dual position players as much as possible to help cover byes/ short term injuries ie Sylvia/muzungu can be swapped with Brennan/Krak/Smith

$20,900 in the bank.

GET RID OF BOCK. He misses rounds 1 and 9. Why not start the season off with someone who is actually going to be playing early. You can always trade Bock into your side after he's had one or both of his byes.

Unfortunately he's not close to best 22. He's had a full preseason and they're trying him down back, but he only played a half in the intraclub a month ago and was subbed on for about 15 minutes in NAB 1 and hasn't had a look in since.

Poor advice.

Rucks - Your looking at a donut in rd 1. Petrie is suspended rd 1 and that's a risky set up anyway.

Mzunga is injured unfortunately, Derickx too (i think).. With Cambell to come back its a bit risky, considering you'll cop a donut if Derickx does not play.

Love the midfield, though i think Bartel's best days are behind him, he is still reliable. Backs a little risky with Duigan and Lower starting but it might pay off.

With Mzunga out its really put a spanner in my team. Was originally going for a 3 gun midfield and expanded on it now somewhat due to the lack of guaranteed rookie starters for round 1. Forwards are a little exposed but with Chapman injured, Didak still on the comeback and a host of "maybe's" i've decided a different approach is necessary.

The 8000th time i've changed my side..... Very settled on the rucks but everywhere else i'm unsure. lol

Virtually everyone has Otten, but reading the Adelaide board he is unlikely to be in the best 22 come round 1. What are peoples thoughts on this?

he probably will be, but if he isn't I have no trouble playing Lower and Duigan if I have to.

Otten will be given plenty of opportunity this year in the Crows team.

Duncan no, Anthony yes.

Anthony will be a premium but not Top 7 or even 10 midfielders.

Here is my side. I'm pretty confident in but am finding it hard to ignore Knights.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Lower (Duigan, Toy, Puopolo)

Happy with my backs and they have hardly changed at all since I made my original lineup. I understand Puopolo may not play Round 1 so that position is up for grabs.

Midfield: Boyd, Montagna, Pendlebury, Bartel, Krakouer, Harris (Heppell, Mckenzie, Hibberd)

No Swan I know. I really don't think a side without Swan is that far behind. Especially to the extent that everybody is saying. I have plenty of captain options in Boyd, Montag, Pendles and Goddard.

Rucks: Ryder, Cox (Smith, McCauley)

Forwards: Franklin, Sylvia, Goodes, N.Riewoldt, Higgins, Richardson, Matera (Prestia, Darling, Dixon)

I know I don't Sandi or Swan, but because of this I am able to have 16 premiums I am confident in (Goodes the only exception). Ryder in the ruck means I will need to make a trade if I make my grand final - but I can't afford Sandi and I think he is a much better choice than Jolly.

Notes:
- Am aware that atm B. Smith is injured, Petrie suspended rd 1.
- Thinking of downgrading Sandilands so I can upgrade someone else. Probably Heppell.
- Unsure About Toy, Prestia. Fairly sure both will play a lot of the year. Am hoping mainly early rounds for Toy, because if dropped later on, Brodie Smith will be available later, and should get a place in the crows line up.
I can cover Prestia with Cam Richardson if he doesn't play a lot. I expect Richardson to play most, if not every game.
- Hoping Higgins can get back to his best, injury free.

There is a lot of what ifs, and hope in my team. But I am confident in it.
