Potential training breach?

Caro wrote in her article that Chapman put in a big speech to the AFL exec that Crows werent the only club that made the fairness mistakes and basically made the point that they might have to dish out a tonne of suspensions if they go down the route of punishing the Crows in a big way.
Then completely ignores that point saying the AFL had to make a stand. Not realizing that in suspending Ayce Taylor and Josh Worrell, they’d have to apply the same suspensions to Bontampelli and Betts as well among others.

The footy industry seems to be living in a parallel universe.
When this first started and people started doing the maths as to a ''good proper season'' June 8-11th was always the cut off date for any meaningful season

The vfl have been so desperate to get games back up in that time that lo and behold we have hubs even with the amount of contamination in Victoria

This. The most infuriating thing is that she goes unchallenged, particularly unchallenged by the AFC. If the club is blocking her out like they ruined Rucci, it's not working. While The Age was still rubbish the way it reported anything Crows, it still had/has more credibility than that bun fight organisation she sells herself to now, so she and the rest of the flunky hacks at that shitshow are now given licence to be shit....and yes, there's a lot of shit going on. And yes I realise she still gets print in The Age.
I agree I wish the club would push back a bit

But by the same token thats what the clickbaiters want , it fuels the fire.

I dont have an answer in this new media age

Lachie Hunter suspension? Any news on that?

I would say that’s as close to a confirmation you’ll get, funny how a few certain Vic journos aren’t up in arms about it though...

Did the SA Government at any stage tell the AFL that the breach put on hold any negotiations?

I'm sure the AFL have these minutes somewhere...............

I said that very early in the piece it was patently obvious there were other clubs that had flouted the AFL's training rules so really this comes as no surprise....what I find interesting is "Scoop" Manure wasn't/isn't at all interested in pursuing that line of investigation. Guess he knows who his paymasters are....

I’m now expecting the Vic journalists to now identify who those clubs were and report those findings as well. No? Yep, they will only read the first part and have memory loss for the rest of the tweet.

Carlton and Bulldogs were the worst from what I was told. It was systematic and driven by the football department whereas ours was inadvertent.
I did find it odd how we lathered on the “we made a mistake. We are sorry” crap. But it makes sense now. All our evidence showed that it was a mistake whereas all Carlton & Bulldogs evidence showed that it was very deliberate. Source is the family of a Carlton player.
AFL did a deal. Caro is on the outer with the AFL which is why she is still going on about it.

If true, that would go some way to explaining why McClure went silent after initialling breaking the story in the Barossa

Interesting. I'd love to know more.

Interesting.

It certainly lines up with the theory that our supposed "wet lettuce" punishment was because we were able to point to multiple other examples at other clubs.

Given the current climate, the AFL don't want any of this to see the light of day and we won't hear a thing about other clubs being punished, but that's not to say it won't be happening.

Where we got done is that our "breach", as stupid as it was, got leaked to elements of the media that absolutely love to hate us and blew it up, with the rest of the bored, attention starved media jumping on board for a ride.

Maybe if the AFL was also investigating a number of other clubs for breaches at the time we should ask all our player be given a clean slate again or they follow up on their investigation and punish any other clubs. Maybe call Caro in with a please explain why her reporting was tilted at one club. Treaten her with deregistration.
