The only thing I can fault in the MCG of the East is the size of the ground,if it was only 15/20 meters longer. The oval is too small

It’s called MCG of the east because you Mitcham folk gave it that name Graham, no one else had I believe the ground is a little overrated. And the angle of the ground. Kicking up a hill towards the Whitehorse Rd end. Can’t see it hosting anything higher than Divsion 2.The only thing I can fault in the MCG of the East is the size of the ground,if it was only 15/20 meters longer.
Surely Walker Park is the best venue for EFNL finals and why it is called the MCG of the East.Grand final D2 last year we had over 100 plus volunteers senior, junior, cricket personal.Awesome atmosphere with a big crowd but perhaps some of you might think I am biased, lol.
Don’t disagree with most of that! however only thing is the ground size I think for premier you want to see that level of talent on a big ground so the inside players can feed the outside and you get a good mix of run and carry footy vs inside footySurely Walker Park is the best venue for EFNL finals and why it is called the MCG of the East.Grand final D2 last year we had over 100 plus volunteers senior, junior, cricket personal.Awesome atmosphere with a big crowd but perhaps some of you might think I am biased, lol.

It's only called the MCG of the east because that's what you call it! It's a little small but otherwise ticks all the boxes. Portable seating in the Dunlavin Rd car park, instead of the 20-30 cars would serve spectators much better.Surely Walker Park is the best venue for EFNL finals and why it is called the MCG of the East.Grand final D2 last year we had over 100 plus volunteers senior, junior, cricket personal.Awesome atmosphere with a big crowd but perhaps some of you might think I am biased, lol.
Mitcham is a nice 1st or 2nd division ground for finals. It certainly drops down the pecking order when it comes to the surface though I could name 4 grounds that have a better surface in Premier Blackburn Vermont Noble Park East Ringwood. Mitcham is not even close to the MCG of the east in premier with the surface area. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. It's only called the MCG of the east because that's what you call it! It's a little small but otherwise ticks all the boxes. Incorrect.Mitcham vets had a cricket side that played home games at Mullauna SC a long time ago and 1 week end Walker Park was vacant. One of the players kept saying we are playing at the MCG (Mitcham Cricket Ground) next week end.I agree with the comments that it is a little to small for Premier Grand Finals and crowd wise could only hold about 5,000 people I would think.More portable seating is being looked as Whitehorse Council look at plans to upgrade their ovals. As for the term" MCG of the East" I hope that explains that one. It's only called the MCG of the east because that's what you call it! As for Nunawading no idea with what is happening with them.
Going on the current council progress, at least 20 years, unless Ben interceds.More portable seating is being looked as Whitehorse Council look at plans to upgrade their ovals.
