Salah(c) Aguero(vc)... looks like i've pulled the wrong rein - Aguero with the mother load :(

I have De Gea paired with Romero for such instances. ie switch captaincy to Romero.

Small matter of not having Aguero though :(

I currently have 0 players for gameweek 31 :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

I'll be getting 2 or 3 Liverpool players but the rest of the teams who play that week don't look appealing at all...

Hopefully Spurs lose to Rochdale so they play that week go you pups ;)

Unlucky, yeah I'll be struggling too if we win, just Foster and Salah

Even Arsenal who are out play Leicester, so can't look there

I've lost 2 games in a row but somehow I'm still clinging to the top of the ladder.

A donut from Ramsey didn't help me, there's speculation that Arsenal might be trading him which could make his place in their team uncertain.

Might have to look at trading him myself if he doesn't play next round.

I traded Sterling for Sane as there was an injury cloud over him and he was a risk of missing games.

It's frustrating when you have players that are in and out of the team, I would've won last week if I started Kompany, started him this week and he misses.

Just scraped a win this round, would have lost if I didn't trade Aguero for Gabriel Jesus yesterday, Ramsay being rested again nearly cost me as well.

The next round is going to be a shambles with only 8 teams playing and most of them are minnows, at the moment I only have Salah playing.

gw 31: 106pts
overall: 513
trades left: 8

Salah(c)... 4 goals + 1 assist = :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:
did Kane (ligament damage) -> Firmino for a bonus 14pts
the rest of my squad had the bye

dropped to 5th in the BigFooty league after another loss

To anyone interested in playing this, this should be starting up again this week

Had about 5000 or so last season, Is a miles better game than Fantasy PL

Should still be the same rules as last season

40 trades
15 player squads (2GK, 5 DEF, 5 MID, 3 FWD)
Changeable formation prior to rolling lockout (formation locked in start of every new gameweek)
Players flying up in price quickly, or plummeting quickly due to high/low scores with traditional 3 match rolling average affecting prices
Hopefully Squawka Stats still being used for points (a good consistent scoring system imo), thing was I heard Squawka were struggling last year so don't know if they're still around, will check up on that.

Probably limped across the line end of the season, forgot to do my team the last weekend I think, still had two trades left, lol

Might be more aggressive to start the season this time around to get them vital cash boosts from players having big scores in the opening rounds

Ended up like this

Should've traded out Lukaku I think, but anyways, first year of playing it and didn't start well, the middle block if the season I did well, but once them cup byes occurred late season it made things a bit difficult, though many top teams were in a similar position.

I'm gonna play this year as well, alright if I join?
Yeah mate go for it, the more from Bigfooty the better

Nearly all of the posters on the Soccer Board prefer Fantasy PL which is a rubbish concept of a game imo, this is far superior but doesn't have the same fandom or reach

Early thoughts

Trying to avoid players who went deep in the World Cup aside from cheapies like Rose and Mendy (whether they start is another thing but I'd say Mendy is a fair shout to start). But yeah, De Bruyne, Sterling, Kane, Alli, Hazard, Lukaku, Pogba etc aren't on my radar at the moment as they could be jaded early on, Salah and Aubameyang should be ok to start with though for some firepower.

Some bargain goalkeepers around too which is always nice, would imagine Patricio would be popular if he has the all clear on his transfer status (Sporting taking legal action is a load of shit considering the way their former president ****** the club up)

I joined the league go you pups

First rough draft:

Heaton (Etheridge)
van Dijk, Alderweireld, Mendy (Le Marchand, Bennett)
Sane, Keita, Lamela, Cairney (Gray)
Salah, Aguero, Jota

I don't have a huge amount of knowledge on the promoted teams besides Jota so will have to do some research there.
Midfield is so hard to pick with all the World Cup stars in doubt for the first 2-3 gameweeks.

Patricio and Guaita have some pedigree and are among the best cheap options for goalkeepers. One may be a season long coverage keeper, the other gets upgraded to De Gea or Lloris or Ederson or whoever looks to be best performed.

Durm used to play for Dortmund, dunno if he's in the frame though, he could change to a more likely candidate potentially. Mendy and Rose are cheap for potential output, whether they play many minutes is the other thing, I think Mendy is more likely to play than Rose though as Hernandez started ahead of him regularly at the World Cup so should be fairly fresh. Pereira should be Leicesters starting right back, has some pedigree too. Vestergaard was a beast in the Bundesliga, could be a cash cow.

David Silva is a safe pick and likely plays that attacking number 8 role with De Bruyne again, could go Eriksen here instead, or pick both and downgrade maybe a Sanchez to a cash cow striker and upgrade someone in midfield. I think Silva, Eriksen and maybe Sane could start well considering they should be fresher than Hazard, De Bruyne, Alli, Sterling, Pogba etc who all went to the last weekend in the World Cup. I'm not 100% sure on Sane though with Mahrez and Bernardo Silva as direct competition in similar positions, absolutely do not get the Mahrez transfer considering who is already there, absolute luxury signing. Sessegnon is a hype pick, but he'll have to perform at his price perhaps Eriksen is better served there. Wilshere and Bolasie are cheap for potential output, same with Lucas. I think Lucas or Lamela will be relevant early on and make cash as Son won't be available as he'll be off at some Asian Games tournament trying to win it and get off doing his military service hence should South Korea win, so the first 5-6 weeks there's an opportunity for one of them to perform.

Salah and Aubameyang pick themselves with the guys who went deep in the World Cup likely to be sluggish like Kane and Lukaku. Kane never scores in August anyway :$ Sanchez could change should a decent cash cow option emerge then I'll grab Eriksen in midfield instead.

I think Silva, Salah, Aubameyang and Mendy are locks at the moment

Will give it a go. Always wanted FPL price rises to be like SC
Post away here jd, don't want to derail the FPL thread so rather reply here

The league code is a few posts above

But yeah, I played FPL for about 5-6 years, but gave up on it in 2016-17, became really disillusioned with the game format, absolutely cannot stand the pricing on players on hype and ownership rather than form which is what Dreamteam and Supercoach is all about pricing players accordingly from form.

Also only making half the value on players you've brought into your team is rubbish too in FPL. Say someone is picked at 4.5m and you upgrade them at 5.5, you only get 5.0m back.

I guess FPL gets 2 wildcards a season and you can make as many trades a week going at negative 4 points for every extra trade, but I feel that game punishes you more than rewards you.

We get 40 trades for the season in this game which is more than enough (I only used 38 last year, but probably needed 39 as I forgot about Lukaku the last week), but you can only make a max of 2 a week (like it is in AFL DT/SC outside of the bye rounds).
