But if he does it again against Burnley then he potentially gets to 9-10 million by the end of GW4, even with likely mediocre scores of around 4-6 against Spurs and United

Wish the first game was the same time for most of the Saturday games so it could have been avoided, 3 were unused subs & 2 missed out altogether.

So a shit start when it could have been much better, can’t remember my ranking last year but it was pretty decent so this is a very annoying start. Knew it was a risk for picking 3 spurs defenders, but good cash cow options if they all play.

Alderweireld, Rose, Tripper, Ward (CP) & Diop (WHU) all treated themselves to donuts. Trying to avoid trades this week so will probably just change formation, otherwise make a couple to just set the team up better

I'd absolutely be trading one of Rose or Alderweireld to Mendy though. Mendy is the biggest lock down back imo at his price, while Alderweireld and Rose are both behind Davies and Sanchez/Vertonghen at the moment due to both being in Pochs bad books. Once you're in his bad books, you normally stay there, see Townsend, Bentaleb, Adebayor for example and he was happy to cash in on Walker too.

Trippier will start again once Poch thinks he's fit enough, but might not be until September maybe. Upgrade target for mine.

I've tried to stay away from the deep World Cup types like anyone who played for France, Belgium and England as they had bugger all rest and question marks were on their fitness, Mendy is the only one I'm rolling with but he should be fresh as Diver Hernandez started ahead of him.


I guess for now, roll with a back 2 or back 3 formation, hope you get some starts down back and hope the rest of your mids/fwds are starting to minimize any more donuts.

Yeah this is a tough year with the WC & a short break for a lot of top players. I had Clyne as well originally, but got rid of him. Would like to get Mendy in, but then worried about the rotation with him as well. Might have to take your advice on Toby & Rose though, left a bit of cash in the bank so I can still get decent defenders in that will gain value

If Watford do well this week I will consider one of those two 100%. Personally, I don't rate them and they are pretty average in my eyes. If they can get a result this week I might change my mindset on them a tad.

Made my two trades for this round with my two no shows Alderweireld and Fabregas traded to Holebas and Bernardo Silva.

Silva should be guaranteed more game time now with De Bruyne out for a few months, was tempted by Pereyra but not sure he can back up that 2 goal performance against better quality opposition. Might still bring him in next week though if he does well again this round.

Another dud game from Eriksen, at least I've nailed most of my cash cows so far and aren't heavily relying on him for scoring power yet.

He had plenty of chances tonight but didn't deliver, some of his crosses and set pieces were really off the radar, hopefully the tide turns for him sooner rather than later, maybe he's a little tired still from the World Cup. Copped Ozil last year to start with, hope Eriksen doesn't stoop that low

Dismal round for me so far, none of my 5 starters have made double figures, my only double figure scores are on the bench with Sessegnon and Mitrovic.

Hopefully I'll have a bit more luck in the remaining games and can salvage a respectable score.

I've got Eriksen too, been disappointing so far but I'll probably stick with him as he has been one of my most reliable scorers the past couple of seasons.
