I think this may the best player i have ever had

One of those Brownlow's does not count as he was ineligible but the game allowed it anyway.

Also won the 2042 Coleman and club champion and is all Australian again

Should overtake Lockett on most goals next season.

Anyway i'm worried about losing my save on this computer so i figured i'll take a photo now. i'll probably update when he finishes up which should be soon

This is the best player I have ever had. It will be a sad day for me when he retires, but until then the full forward position will be his, I don't care how rapidly he drops. Barring injury will win his 10th Coleman medal in the 2030 season that is now 4 rounds old.

It is criminal that he never won a Brownlow, he just never got rewarded, even in the seasons he kicked over 200 goals. I think if I had have simmed more seasons rather than playing them myself he might have polled more brownlow votes, but would probably have kicked less goals.

How do you get your full forward to kick more goals when playing instead of simming?

Not too sure really, I use very little individual tactics for the forwards. Slayford is set to Primary Forward, but I think that's just the default setting anyway. He's a total freak, spent most of his career at 97+ overall with high attributes in ruck and defence as well. Still 81 overall at 36 years old.

For team tactics, I use an ultra attacking game plan, kick long, high risk, down the corridor etc. if a team starts to get on top of me I usually switch to a more defensive game plan and try to claw back. I used to doubt whether the tactics had that much effect but I'm quite convinced they make a difference now. I always set two small defenders to Run Off. That boosts their numbers nicely and the half forward flankers inside 50 numbers shot up as well as soon as I did that. This helped the FF get on the end of more goals. One time I was a mile in front, so I set all defenders to Run Off in the last quarter and I gave up a 50 point lead and lost. That was when I began to really believe tactics made a difference and started to play around a lot more.
I only rotate the midfielders at the breaks. Most of the high possession counts come from the flankers, my mids struggle to get a kick, even the guns. When I sim games I find the mids get a lot more of the ball and kick more goals, but no matter what I try I can't seem to get them into the game when I play, so I settle for the flankers and the key position guys doing the bulk of the work. Occasionally the wingers will rack up 30, but not often.

The years I simmed were sort of in the middle of his career, that was when he started winning the media awards and would poll around 16 votes in the Brownlow, but would only kick 70-100 goals. One year I played entirely he kicked 239 goals from 23 games and barely picked up a Brownlow vote and was well back in the media award. He kicked 30 goals in one game that year and didn't get a vote. Short changed!

Jesus whatta legend

I was thinking, if I could make a 22 using 2015 lists what would be the 22 that I'd pick? From all my PC experiences this is the team that would be unstoppable;

B: S.Gilbert, N.Brown, A.Mackie
HB: L.Hodge, A.Rance, B.Gibbs
C: S.Grigg, T.Cotchin, B.Deledio
HF: P.Chapman, T.Walker, A.Cooney
F: S.Savage, J.Riewoldt, K.Tippett
R: P.Ryder, P.Dangerfield, J.Watson
Int: R.Sloane, D.Armitage, D.Swallow, N.Fyfe

Thoughts/Comments/Concerns?

Always found Kreuzer to be the best Ruckman. And GAJ is still one of the best players in the game.
