Okay, I'm actually getting desperate here. Is there any way to modify code or anything? It's f***ing annoying that my computer crashed and I lost everything. I just want to play the game again. It was the most fun I've ever had on a game and I'm f***ing sick of not being able to play =(

Do you have any access to your computer at all, and also do you have your code and email you used to activate it with? If you do I can help you.

I don't have access to it anymore. You've already attempted to help before, I had it on Win7 and now I've upgraded to Windows 8 cos my computer was slow as hell on 7. I do have the code and email I registered with too.

PS, sorry I didn't get around to giving you the PC2010 files, it turns out since I couldn't get the game to stop lagging on my computer, I uninstalled it in a fit of rage back in 2010. If I still had the game registered, I'd have sent it =\

I do remember sending you the instructions, and now that you don't have access to the computer there is no other way of getting the game working.

I managed to get PC2010 a long time before I asked you, however I had one of the old updates so I thought you may have had the latest updated version. If you want to play 2010 (Not the latest update but isn't the original version), I have uploaded to the AFL Games thread somewhere in this subforum.

Great. So I can't play again? Surely someone on this board can edit game code? Maybe we could collectively pay some guy to do it for us, since the servers are down. Or pay MantaMedia to get them back up? Eh, too expensive. I'd do it if I had the money. Hell, I would literally suck a guy if it meant I could play again.

I loved it. I just loved the UI more than anything, and the speed it loaded on my laptop compared to 2010. It's probably my all-time favourite game in terms of replayability. Games like CoD and Pokemon and stuff that I also play don't change drastically each time you play. Whereas in PC2011, random crap changes every season for you. I've had a season where 11 of my list of 36 where injured, and 2 were suspended. I had 23 players to choose for 2 weeks and yet I still loved it.

That's awesome. I would love to play a season like that.

I do wish to play PC2010 again some day, but I have an issue where the game's too big for my screen. I have configured the settings, but it just doesn't work unfortunately.

PC2011 is too repetitive. The same players get the same stats each season, the same players get traded. The system is always the same, you always see midfielders getting the high possessions and the tall fowards always dominate the tall defenders.
PC2010 is a little better as you see midfielders kicking more goals and not having two tall fowards on the same team kicking 90+ each.

I'm looking forward to the new manager if it does actually come out next year. Will be good to see something that doesn't look to be made by Ad.

I don't really mind that stuff though, I played for the fun. Looking at PC2010, the UI is a lot more similar, but is missing that PC2011 flair. If someone managed to mod it and get the general look onto the PC2010 game, I'd probably prefer that.

It's impossible to mod any of the PC2010 aspects such as the UI, starting year and number of teams. You can make new teams with different names and new grounds and that about all you can do. The only thing PC2010 didn't have was the main screen, it saved time going to the ladder and checking emails, but PC2010 is still good the way it is.

Yeah but it looked a little cleaner on my computer. Btw, are you gonna be able to get the 2013 lists to me tonight? Just wanna know if it'll be before 11 or not. (not sure what TZ you're in, but it's 7:45 here now)

There are a few changes you have to make from the PC2011 lists. I will just send you the other players, they aren't really that important unless you want Campbell Brown and probably 2 other guys.

Oh nah, don't worry about it. I was gonna throw them all into different teams, but the team caps are already gone over. Freo's got 41 players.

One thing I will note though, the injury rate is crazy. In the two weeks before the pre-season, with Training set to -1 injury rate on all four areas, Pavlich and Morabito both got 4 week injuries. I lost the first game in the next four weeks training, I lost 7 players to injury. My season where I had heaps out was beefed up stats to like 90+ peak on most of my players, with the injury rate increased strongly. This was ridiculous. After 5 weeks, I had 8 of my best 22 left playing, and 14 others. I had to forfeit. Might be a glitch though.

Never happened to me before. Must be something your doing.
 
Wondering if someone can help me, I was playing last night and my computer came off the charger, now when I go to load the game it comes up with

'A serious error has occured and a log has been generated....blah blah.

So now it wont load (this isnt the first time it has happened), is there any way to fix it so I can get it back and running again?

Redownload the game here: http://www.divshare.com/download/14672512-6a2
and the Latest Patch: http://www.divshare.com/download/14908395-92

Install the game and the patch in a different directory to your original copy (Do not overwrite or delete your original copy). Then go into the original and copy the data and the config folder over to the new directory. If that ends up working, you will have to access the game via the new directory, and you should still have all your lists and saves from before.
