Calm yourselves. Right now we couldn't give a stuff about the no 1 pick! We've got more important things to take care of - starting with Fev.
Exactly. I'm more worried about what's going on in Fev's life to make him act up like this.

I'd say it's his head thats the problem not his life. What a shame this talent doesn't seem to have half a brain. I was so excited he was headed to punt road last year but now Im not sure I'd want him, even for all his ability.

Can anyone spell Kreuzer AND Cotchin.:p

FWIW, this is about Pagan. Great move by the whole club (incl DP)

“We think it’s better for the Carlton football club for him to go away and think about things,” Pagan said.
“We think it will provide a good result for Brendan to come back a better player.”

I think this is a great decision by the club.

It sends a clear message to the entire list that it doesn't matter who you are, iIf you are not performing then you are replaceable.

Good on the Blues for this decision!! It might actually make him wake up!

Fevola is contracted to Carlton in 2008, but Swann admitted there was a chance the reigning Coleman medallist might consider his future lay at another club.
"That's a chance," he said.
"He's contracted for next season but the weekend culminated in what we thought was an unacceptable situation for the club, and so we've made the decision for him to go away and think about it.

"He may come back and say 'I don't want to play here any more', or if he comes back and says he'll play his role in the team he's welcome to come back."

Coach Denis Pagan said he wanted Fevola to become a better player for himself and for the team.
Pagan was unsure how the 26-year-old would respond to his suspension, and also admitted Fevola would not be an automatic selection for the round 15 game against Sydney.

"We'll just have a look at the scenario when it's presented and judge it on its merits from there," Pagan said.

"We're doing this to make Brendan better, we're doing this to make the Carlton football club better.
"I really like Brendan, I have a good relationship with him.
"But I just don't want to see him doing what he's doing because it's not helping himself and it's not helping the team."
