Aquinas Have been strong despite shock loss to scotch, managed to defeat trinity comfortably twice.

Once Aquinas beat Trinity by less than a kick and last week scores were pretty much level at 3/4 time before AC broke it open early in the last.

Comfortably? Not quite. Two very good wins none the less

yeah i agree. keep it constructive talent scout, though taylor has been good setting up off half back, a lot of players can look very good when delivering to the likes of aitkin in the hale forward line.any observations on individuals from other schools.

Scratch matches should be banned !!!

They give a false expectation for the remainder of the season (or affect morale), and/or players injure themselves trying to square up on previous season issues (or trying to impress coaches) for no points.

No more scratch matches.:)

All begins this weekend

Aquinas, Hale, Trinity, Wesley - know that all have good up and coming players.

The thought is that Aquinas will be the ones to beat.

But as Mum said Hale have a good team this year (Tom Mitchell et al) and will be out to avenge sharing the Alcock Cup last year:).

Will be a close hard fought race. Might be dependent on who is out with representative duties in 16's and 18's. And injuries, of course!

Not too sure on Christchurch, Guildford and Scotch. Perhaps others could fill us in.

Roll on Saturday.

it looks to be solid start to ac this year on tour
there was no repeat of the off field tour incidents which happened in 2009 and look to be in the hotseat for the 2010 season

Aquains at $1.37 for my liking

Good luck if you can get $1.37 ....

More like $1.02 with two Alcocks, Justin Monaco and the undefeated 12's ...... and the softer start to the season.

Depending on the Aquinas first 3 games (hear that GG have some very good players), Round 4 will be a beauty.

Plays for Hale in PSA.

Hale is coming first by a wide margin.

Dont think that he is playing 18's? That may be good, given result against SA last week.

Possibly will be picked up as an 18 next year.

Tom Mitchell is the other big hope for selection from Hale this year - had a few injuries recently. Mum can tell you more on both these lads - she has the inside ....

Forgot to ask "When did Pies last win the Premiership?????" Pity about last Saturday against Brisvegas? Who did that Staker play for before? Good that WCE did not take up Rich? Ah 20/20 hindsight.

Poor Mickey!

Scotch 9a football is going to be undefeated this season!!!! Other scotch teams are also looking good for the season.

Scotch Footy!!!

Wesley College 6 6 0 0 630 323 195 24

The ladder after 6 rounds.

Wesley have been incredibe this year, seriously coming from absolutley nowhere to being the frontrunner in the competiton!

Hale and Scotch have been the dissapointment IMO, and the mighty CCGS have a firm grip on last place, again :(.

It will be an interesting run home, can Wesley maintain their incredible form, can the more fancied Aquinas or Hale fight back, or will another dark horse, Guilford, bring home the title?
