The Law PSO's - what the hell?

That is messed up. The fact they dumped her at another station and not the cop shops is basically admitting guilt. Hope she sues the **** out of her.
Given the cops' propensity for gratuitous violence, she probably owes her life to not being taken to the cop shop.

NSW and not Melbourne, however it shows how completely and irresponsibly out of whack priorities are. PSO's are a good idea on troubled lines, but this kind of force and unwarranted brutality should in now way be part of ticket checks by police.

COP BEATEN UP ON CAMERA WHILE BYSTANDERS WATCH — AND NO ONE CALLS 911
When a Philadelphia transit officer attempted to detain a ticket-scam suspect near a train station platform last week, surveillance video records the suspect turning on the cop and wrestling him to the ground, pinning him between a glass barrier and a bench.

But the pig keeps his job -

To only charge the one who got body slammed with assault for a slap in the face (as a retaliation for being grabbed) is a joke -

has she pressed charges?

Why do these types of thread get filled with over exaggerated bulltish ?

Work in Melbourne everyday for the last 13 years and can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen a cop issue a J-Walking fine.

No point having cops on every corner at night, just be smart and target the hotspots.

Really? The last 2 years in the last week of June there have been cops standing on the corner of Lonsdale street next to Parliament station issuing jaywalking fines to people getting off the train to go to work in the morning. They are crossing a minor single lane/one way road in between Spring and Exhibition streets and are just trying to get to work but these morons have obviously been told to rack up some revenue before the financial year ends and have been given quotas to meet.

You've obviously got an issue with people in jobs that hold any sort of authority. You post the same type of anti-authoritarian bullshit in other threads.
As far as a slap for retaliation being grabbed, any ****wit that retaliates with that type of behaviour deserves not only to be body slammed but put in a choke hold, given a Lou Thesz press and finished off with a Stone Cold stunner for being an antisocial little shit

Besides the fact that when a service is piratised the duty to the public is replaced by a duty to shareholders, there is a corporate profit requirement - extra to provision of service costs - which didn't previously exist.

And they also reduce services to rig their figures - last week a Craigieburn train was running about 10 minutes late so when it did arrive they announced it would be express from North Melb to Essendon and then Essendon to Broadmeadows just so they could arrive at Craigieburn on time and not be counted as "late" so it wouldn't affect their monthly figures.

Young girl fare evades
Cops a spear tackle by a PSO pig

15 year old girl charged with assault

Get f*cked

The officer did nothing wrong. Under the circumstance and from what my understanding is, together with what I have seen on public transport in similar scenarios, I don't see an alternate. He tried talking to the girls and she fled. What they are meant to let her get away because she is 15?

All that you are call the PSO a pig for doing his job? If he did anything wrong and I mean ANYTHING wrong an officially apology would have been sent out. This is always done to cover their behind legally. The fact that nothing happened should be proof enough. Tell me how would you have dealt with the situation had you of been the PSO officer?

Until you need them of course.

I've heard this before but don't really know how it is applicable? The only time I felt the need to call the police was when a taxi driver was being assaulted by a scumbag in some kind of expensive car outside the store I was working in in Lygon St because he thought the cab had hit him but he hadn't (I had seen the whole incident unfold). The guy had the cabbie against the wall on the street and was punching him. I called the cops to let them know what was going on and their response? "Unless he wants to press charges there's nothing we can do."

you're nothing but an arse-hat, Crash

I don't actually know how anyone can condone a psuedo pig being able to pick up a 15 year old and slamming them like that over a $3 train ticket
Tell me, which one of these is you....

About time to grow up you filthy hippy, do the right thing and you'll have nothing to worry about.

Another step closer to police state mentality. Thirty years ago a 15 year old copped a whack around the ear or a kick up the backside before being sent off home with a warning. Now they get a belting and a criminal conviction to carry around for the rest of their life. For a fare evasion. I guess she should feel lucky she isn't being sent to Pomgolia for bakery theft.

She was surrounded by a number of larger, well trained*, capable* professional*revenu 'customer service' officers. Are you saying her escape was inevitable without a bodyslam? That it was necessary?

She didn't have a ticket, she slapped an officer. The PSO possibly went over the top but she copped the consequences of a couple of very poor decisions. Lack of respect for some authority led to the situation as it is now.
This board is being clogged up with some shit now that schools are finishing up
