He was caught between 2 players. If he'd run at Wiggins it would have been chipped over his head for an easy, open goal for the second Carlton bloke. Bowden was FAR from our worst today.

Was horrible yesterday.

Funnily enough, I notice that in the other Bowden thread, the only input you've had is a typical childish insult. Can't (or won't) even debate the points raised in Bowden's favour. And it's the same in here too, ignorance of everything bar the personal swipes. Did you even have a point to begin with?

Wallace is the worst here, not Bowden.
He (Bowden) racked up 39 soft possesions againsed Port, all behind the ball, no tackles, no man on man, totally unacountable footy. Its not his fault now days, as thats how he has been allowed to develope and its the only way he appears comfortable to play.
But for Wallace to give him 5 Coaches votes for that style of play makes me want to spew. Credit to Choco Williams for not giving him a vote.
Its no coincidence our style of play has changed for the worse since Wallace unannounced, changed back to "Bowden in the Backline" That puts uncertainty into our young, and not so skilful senior players. Opposition coaches love it, just sit back let us rack up huge possessions and wait for the inevitable turnovers, just like the final qtrs againsed Port and Carlton.
Life when Bowden was in the twos and his small stint up forward, Kingy was the little General down back, wanting to kill everyone, having two, three and sometimes four repeat efforts at getting the pill, then going hell for leather with the leagues most running bounces getting it to our mids/forwards.
Now Wallace rates Bowden as one of our best in the last few weeks, and the style is slow, stop start crap footy.
Joel has been a super fine servant for the Club, but now needs to be given the same Gold Watch Andy K and the Gas were given. it’s the only way we can go forward. Sorry Joel

Only Foley, with 10, had more contested possessions than JB's 9 on Saturday. (Deledio had 9 too).He's crap.Deal with it.

He had a great game, but its the type of play that has taken us back to the old possesion game.
Did you prefere this style or the attacking hard style we played when he was out and the first couple back when he was more up foward?

he played an attacking style until the side as a whole went into its shell...his first half was outstanding...provided us with numerous opportuinities to have the game iced at the big break.
