"Tradition V Trivia" (for anyone interested):

Straight into it (an abridged version):

Round 14

Broadbeach V Aspley

Played 17: Broadbeach 10 – Draw 1 - Aspley 6 (2009-2013, 2022-2024)
A replay of the 2022 Grand Final. Only two games have been decided by single-digit margins. Aspley requires 87 points to reach 1,500 against Broadbeach.

Redland Victoria Point V Palm Beach Currumbin
Played 6: Redland 4 - Palm Beach 2 (2021-2024)
The shortest history this round. Its either close or not: four games have had a margin under three goals, whilst the other two have been about ten goals (60 & 59 points).

Morningside V Surfers Paradise
Played 21: Morningside 9 – Surfers Paradise 12 (2014-2023)
Their first encounter this season. A significant nine games have been decided by a margin of two goals or less.
Both teams will (probably) kick their 250th goal against each other this game: Surfers requires three goals, whilst Morningside requires one.
The aggregated score is incredibly close: Morningside 249-196-1690 to Surfers Paradise 247-215-1697.

Maroochydore V Noosa
Played 12: Maroochydore 5 – Draw 1 – Noosa 6 (QAFL 2011-2013, 2021-2024)
Overall 64: Maroochydore 29 – Draw 1 – Noosa 34 (1993-1997, 2005-2024)
The records listed above only go as far back as 1993. Their shared history goes much further than that, circa early 1970s. We could talk about past Grand Finals, slender victories, and huge upsets – these games are always of massive interest. I’m eagerly waiting to see the outcome of this game.

Labrador V Mt Gravatt
Played 57: Labrador 26 - Mt Gravatt 31 (1997-2024)
Seven games: seven decided by two goals or less, whilst another seven with margins of over 100 points.
Both clubs are close to milestones against each other: Labrador require 8 goals to reach 700 goals against Mt Gravatt, and back the other way, the Vultures need 3 goals to reach 800.
This game is also Labrador’s 500th premiership fixture in the QAFL since joining in 1997. That deserves a little extra celebration, I reckon.

Wilston Grange V Sherwood
Played 35: Wilston Grange 15 – Sherwood 20 (QAFL 1983-1987, 2011-2024)
Overall 42: Wilston Grange 16 – Sherwood 26 (1983-1987, 2000, 2005-2008, 2011-2024)
Six QAFL results decided by a single-digit margin. I’ve only just realised that they have played a total of 42 games across 42 years. I genuinely have no idea how this game will go down tomorrow.

As usual, if anyone disagrees with any details, or has more information to share, please let me know – I want to get these records as accurate as possible.

Enjoy. :thumbsu:
