If you a conspiracy theorist probably could happen. I think the player in question had no interest in playing VFL because of work commitments but after Lions lost Coleman, Dodee, Gardner all went down in a short period they reached out to him to see if they got in trouble could he help out. So they put him on list and in fact he would have played at least 2 games but suspension and injury stopped him on both occasions.
Didn’t know Thommo was on Lions coaching staff nowadays
.Maybe if people concentrated on their own clubs and what they can control , instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing they might get some results. Everything I hear from certain clubs recently is whinging about other clubs. They wonder why they are where they are

Having VFL listed players who would be 1 pointers anyway, is hardly making any difference to the points cap.

Just another leg up for Noosa mate...You are probably right there mate but there’s also a league ruling that there is no points allocation allowance for clubs that wear green jumpers
At some point someone somewhere will say "hey stand on your own 2 feet'...I suppose the extra points allows another Daniel Rich type to be picked up....
Mate we are the only club on the Coast that hasnt folded at some point in history so we know well and truly how to stand on our own two feet!Just another leg up for Noosa mate...

We are the only club in the comp without the advantage of having VFL listed players playing at 2 points!
Unfortunately for us our two boys are standing on their own two feet on the AFL list!
c'mon mate - that football club is starting to look like Tom Sawyer the way the hand is being held out each year for some sort of leg up. Wasn't that long ago when the club was developing its juniors that there was multiple players sitting on a VFL list at 1pt...(Brain, O'Dwyer, etc). Now all of a sudden the hand has been extended. At least we know there is no shame up the highway...lol. Mind you at least they had a team of the half century - Noosa went in bits and bobs and decided each decade would suffice... No hard calls made in tigerland these days - except if it means asking for assitance.. Might call you the "North Melbourne of the QAFL" lolI would argue no stronger rivalry - in fact there was a book written about sporting rivalries in Australian sport once and the Maroochy / Noosa one actually got a gig next to Carlton / Collingwood !!Always thought the rivalries on the GC were pretty strong, they clearly got us covered up there
TBF myself and NB are good mates and I have had a foot in both camps at different stages over the 21st century with no affiliation with either anymore. Just irritates me when a level playing field is no longer level for silly rationale. TBF to Noosa they asked the question and AFLQ could have dismissed it - which they didn't. Which is mind blowingly stupid imo.
