Surely not.Any truth to Redcliffe Womens forfeiting a final? Some serious rethinking required from AFLQ about the embarrassment it is becoming
The time slot works all thru the year but not now? Go figure
something isn't working, a bit of speculation on my part but for a comp from the Goldy to Redcliffe surely it's a factor
That's true but I know for a fact one club was told by the players not to stay in div 1 as we don't have the numbers. Was completely ignored as someone knew better. Didn't work from round 1. So who's fault is it that teams forfeit.2 teams forfeited the season, and the team forfeiting a final kicked 3 goals since April?

Surely there is a minimum number of registered players needed by a certain date? That's true but I know for a fact one club was told by the players not to stay in div 1 as we don't have the numbers. Well then you might be right FF...Any truth to Redcliffe Womens forfeiting a final? Some serious rethinking required from AFLQ about the embarrassment it is becoming
didn’t have enough qualified players to take the field. AFLQ rules state if you double up then only the senior games count that weekend.
AFLQ sent out a list the week prior saying they had something like 26 qualified only to turn around the day before the game to say wait we were wrong and you only have 12.
Well its the #1 reason why clubs feel away in the mens (Bond / Burleigh) so no surprise if it is the reason in the womens tooConsidering the comp lost 2 coast clubs from last year in cooly and Burleigh then Robina not getting a reserves team all season this year you may be on the money with the travel.
Yes there should be but a club knows full well in advance of what's going on in their own space.Surely there is a minimum number of registered players needed by a certain date?
Probably more of an issue for the ladies as the start games at 6:30 at night. I’m 10 beers deep by then !Well its the #1 reason why clubs feel away in the mens (Bond / Burleigh) so no surprise if it is the reason in the womens too
Hang on. You’re talking about when they were Div 1 and there was 3 strong Sunny Coast teams in their comp. Not quite the same.Well its the #1 reason why clubs feel away in the mens (Bond / Burleigh) so no surprise if it is the reason in the womens too
I see we losing another competition manager. AFLQ really struggle to keep good staff which effects everyone at club land. Some discussion about QAFLW moving to a 1 side competition drawing from Div 1 sides so having a 32 or so player squad. Dispersing the QAFLW reserves players back into lower levels and increasing numbers there. If you are going to make a requirement of Div 1 footy 2 sides then something has to happen.
Pure dominance from the pumas yesterday looked a class above the panthers, Panthers kept trying all day but just couldn’t go with them. Should be a cracker of a Grand final this weekend. Coorparoo made a bit of a statement in the qualifying final, will be interesting if the game is more like that or like the 2 previous clashes between the 2 during the yearWow what a result in the Prelim.
Looking forward to a great game next week at Kedron.
Certainly felt like that as we got closer to the end of the year, still a very even comp below them but Coorparoo and Springwood definitely felt a class above this year. Find Kedron an interesting choice for the Grand final venue, anyone have any idea what the condition of the ground is like? What the viewing area is like? From memory it had a nice hill around the ground if I’m not mistaken?Think there was a distinct gap between the top 2 sides and the rest this year. Well done to both clubs. Both really well run.
