A considerable amount of Senior players did not go to Yepoon pp

From my understanding it was only one game played, about a squad of 25-30 for springwood. Unsure on the level of talent that would’ve been playing for springwood bay day.

Any news on any practice matches in the last couple weeks for the teams in this comp? Been pretty quiet on here lately, should be another good year ahead in this comp. Was the closest from top to bottom of any comp last year, let’s hope for another year like it!

Not sure. I think it's safe to say Hinterland will be very dominant though

Saw they also gave Caloundra a bit of a hiding on the weekend gone too. Have Wynnum picked up many in the off season?

Looks like they picked up a fair bit of depth but remains to be seen whether it will translate to the step up to Div 1. Obviously losing to a QAFL team isn't the best indicator to judge them on

So fees are out .Do we really need to have presentation night at end of season .We havent missed it for 2 years and we can save $1705 and use for something else for the footy club .Thoughts

Gonna give a ladder prediction a go which may be hard considering there really isn’t much news of who teams pick up in this comp.

GF prediction- Springwood over Mayne.

Very hard comp to pick as it is usually very tight and will no doubt be some “upsets”. Think Mayne do bounce back after a slow finish to the year last year, seems like they’ll get some players back from Injury that should help steady the ship. Beenleigh to jump into finals, all those young boys a year older now, plus the additions of Proud and Murdoch are very big. Really do think anyone can play finals this year and win it all so will probably look back at this ladder prediction in a few months time and have a laugh

My attempt, similar just think UQ will rise & Beenleigh drop slightly. In saying that who knows with this comp its so close like you said & nobody has a clue what the newcomers will bring, could be a game or 2 separating 4th -8th

Quite a few not rating Coorparoo, why is that? Seems to me they are always in finals and they always seem to recruit well, is there something going on there that we (meaning me) don't know about?

Based on early results looks like a very even comp. Mayne early pace setters?

Looks like Moreton and Wynnum are up the standard with Moreton winning both their games.

Very glad to see Wynnum and Moreton up there abouts, shows once again top to bottom this comp should be very close. Will be interesting to see how the comp looks middle of the season, should get a better idea of who is where in the comp.

Water starting to find its own level, another few rounds and all become clear, last years Premiers and a new addition seem to be struggling atm

Wynnum were always lacking quality and depth.

Springwood seem to have no rhythm.

Caloundra not exactly living up to the talk either.

Does look like both grand finalists are struggling at the moment, both could easily be 0-3 right now, Caloundra did well with that big comeback in round 1 and Springwood against Wynnum weren’t very convincing. But it is still very early on in the season so a lot can change, Springwood started quite poor last year and ended winning the flag, whilst Caloundra lost 4 in a row leading up to finals and ended making a GF. Should be an interesting year ahead.
