Mavericks sounds exciting. Not sure about the toxic culture, pretty great place to be around and good people.
I have probably gone a bit far with the Pac Pines stuff, purely stirring Junior up who I think is a good fella. Sorry if it hurt your feelings, I’m certain junior wouldn’t be too upset...

Surprised that Div3 had a complete comp bye so early. Was there a reason for that? However in Div 4 it looks like 3 close games between the top 6 teams Friday night. Collingwood Park over Marcellin by 7 points, Mt Gravatt over North shore by 5 points & a 1 pointer by UQ over Pac Pines. Competitive Beenleigh v Ipswich match & big win for Coorparoo

Wouldn't mind one every 4th week if im honest.

Weird thing for us is that after the bye, we now play Ormeau and Bribie again having already played them. Despite not yet having played Mayne, Zillmere, Morningside or Jimboomba.

Go figure!

Northshore were up by 4 goals at one point too! I also think Coorparoo are being slept on, missing players and very tough draw to start the year. My tips for the week as per below.

Unless something dramatically changes at AFLQ in the next 9 months, they wont allow clubs to have two Friday night teams. Plenty of clubs asked this year and all got knocked back. If you want two teams, go to Saturday

Yeah. I'm not sure that there are any deterimental issues with growing the Friday night comps at all. Ground availability maybe? Travel factor to consider maybe also?
I believe the ideology espoused is that Saturday footy is the premium and if a club can get 2 teams they have to go to Saturday......and join 15 other teams in Div 2 North!!!!
 
perhaps if they offered a single team Saturday comp, some clubs would find it easier tog et up and going and wouldn't have to start on Friday nights and then have a whole team of players conditioned to the convenience of Friday footy.

I'm sure higher grades would also be interested in Friday games if infrastructure (mainly lights) were up to scratch to do it
 
Very close top 4 heading into the bye with some more fantastic games coming up next weekend. Who at this point of the comp do we think are the best team?

Very tight comp Mt Gravatt can be excused for being beaten by Marcellin at marcellin they are a good team that play that ground well so I would have to say they are the ones to beat, don’t think we have seen the best of pac pines yet and I haven’t seen northshore yet to judge but they seem to be going along well. We (Collingwood park) are around the mark at the moment but all too early to judge definitely shaping to be a great comp.

Collingwood Park Vs North shore is going to be a good game to watch. Beenleigh have a chance to put their season back on track if they can get over Marcellin. I can't see Coorparoo getting over Mt Gravatt especially with the Zancceta coming back into the midfield.
