**** me, on Channel 7 news just showed what's going to happen by the end of the week. Flooding in 5 states, NSW and Victoria will be flooded along with a part of South Australia with the raining heading all the way to Tasmania.

This is just the beginning, the worst is coming in 4 days.

Don't get me wrong, this is heartbreaking stuff. I don't know why but it always upsets me when I see poor cars getting swept away but QLD was withholding water from SA when we were in drought. We were in desperate need and they were purely and simply - hogging the water. Hopefully this is a bit of a wake up call. Thoughts go out to the families suffering.

Which parts of Victoria, Kerrby?

Also, look at this; Ipswich Motorway

I saw that one before and thought the same as I assume you are thinking, but its basically just mud in the centre of the roads, with the raindrops on the camera lense distorting it as far as I can tell.

Not entirely sure but it had most of Victoria from what I remember, because it's going all the way down to the edge of Tasmania. But they said in 4 days it's going to be the worst and for Queensland on Thursday it's going to be even worse than it is now.

How much of an idiot are you? What water? Toowoomba's dam capacity was down to about 5% this time last year. Wake up to yourself.

Flash flooding is so dangerous. Not only does it come out of nowhere, but people overestimate themselves and underestimate nature's capabilities.

Mother nature can be a mean lass.

You can fight floods to a certain degree, it's called building levees around your property and sandbagging.

If there were floods somewhere in Perth would you start packing?

I just thought I'd ask since you threw in the random 200km, it's roughly that far from Perth to Bunbury isn't it?

It is roughly 200kms, yeah. If it was a terrential downpour here aswell as Perth, I would consider it. however Perth to Bunbury isn't all downhill, but it seems that the road from Toowoomba to the east is all down hill.

As I've just said to drakecoffeecake there are 8 people dead and another 70 missing.

Now is not the time to be getting upon ones political high horse. Have a bit of humanity.
