Did you know Zac Efron lives in Byron Bay now?

You shouldn't. But news.com.au will make sure you do.

People click on it so may as well keep reporting on it - same as people who complain about certain reporters in football - they keep clicking on their articles so they'll keep writing rubbish/opinion pieces.

Shame they turned the comments off.

As sure as saying Geelong will slide down the ladder each year, I read an article on news.com.au about how house prices might crash soon.

They keep sayin' it, though it never 'appens.

how else would we know about the gorillas?
Imagine Uncle Rupert could fill all his news services if he gets the cameras down at the Bonobo enclosure

Honestly the journalism on news.com.au is abysmal. You get what you you pay for though.

I buy the Herald Sun only a couple of times a year. They were always sensationalist but half of the paper is now utter tripe. They do print some feel good stories / community articles which is good to see some positivity from the mainstream press.

The Age is more factual. Definitely the pick here for a quick read of the news.

Haven’t read The Australian in a long time.

TLDR
the fish is over fished but the Greens are bad and we should be able to keep fishing it out, even though there isnt many fishermen left because of over fishing, they will lose their jobs

Holy mackerel! Green Left plot will send prices soaring

A possible ban on fishing Spanish mackerel in north Queensland waters shows contemptible disregard for the industry, writes Peter Gleeson. VOTE IN OUR POLL

If you like eating Spanish mackerel, you might have to start saving your pennies because the price is about to skyrocket.

East Coast Spanish Mackerel biomass is at a critically low level and changes to the management will be implemented next July.

This is yet another hijacking of a perfectly legitimate business by the Greens and their Labor Left mates.

The Greens hate all commercial fishing.

Unfortunately, there are not enough commercial fisherman left to have any voting clout, so outcomes become inevitable.

The Government says Spanish mackerel stocks are under threat from overfishing, with 300 tonnes commercially fished each year since 2004.

If a ban was implemented, it would throw dozens of fishermen out of work, and mean Spanish mackerel would be off the menu at most restaurants.

Let’s hope sanity prevails and the quota system remains.
