I've always been a big fan of qotsa and this new track is the bees fracking knees. Josh Homme's sludgy guitar sound always gets me pumped.

The track that's been doing the rounds on JJJ is called 'Era Vulgaris' and features Trent Reznor from NIN as well. Strangely enough, the band decided not to include this track on their forthcoming album also titled 'Era Vulgaris'. This new album must be pretty freaking amazing if a great track like that one doesn't make the cut.

I've only just heard 3s and 7s and that is probably easily better than any songs off Lullabies to Paralyze.

Definitely gonna get this new one if those 3 songs are any indication of what's to come.
I love qotsa, but still can't help but hope for more Kyuss sounding songs everytime I hear new qotsa.

Not sure what to think about this yet. It's definitely a bit different. More groove orientated, with sorta spacey elements. I like it, but I dunno how much.

BTW, the quality on this isn't great, so if people are iffy about that then wait for a better copy or (obviously) the cd itself.

Some filler on this album (like all their albums) but when it's good, it's bloody good. Suture Up Your Future is also great.

Julian from The Strokes is playing keyboard guitar on the album. We definitely don't see enough keyboard guitars these days.

Listened to it once. It's a bit weird. Probably better than Lullabies (I did not like the themes nd the feel of the album) but I doubt I'll like it better than Rated R or Songs for the Deaf which were great even from the first listen.
