No idea when a release is due. I'd be guessing 2013

I reckon TCV is a fair bit different to QOTSA, in general

I don't mind Era Vulgaris, but yeah, it's not my favourite album of theirs
I don't think they'll try to emulate their "roots" though. They've evolved, whether we like it or not

yeah, dunno
they only posted that they were recording on their FB page last week, as far as I can tell. Nobody lies in FB, do they?

They've at the very least been writing material for a year so that may be the cause of confusion.

i'm guessing everything is written and its just recording now. yeah it's been on and off since early 2011. Josh has said he does not want to rush it.
i have loved everything they have done. EV was a grower. TCV has a treat.
the current lineup has not actually recorded anything proper together, so..exciting times.
