5. Eddie Betts - 8 goals in a small forward line. .. including that little dance in the forward pocket which set the game alight. ..
4. Chris Judd - Hope he gets his bouncy baby reward tomorrow
3. Mitch Robinson - Was in everything early and kept going for 4 quarters
2. Marc Murphy - Even when their mids did well he was sweeping around the back, read the play so well
1. Bryce Gibbs - Seemed to be doing a job early, blitzed in the second half

Edit: BYP Chris Yarran - Lit it up from the back

5 - Judd (Best player in the comp with daylight second)
4 - Eddie (Ended Slattery's career tonight)
3 - Murphy (elite midfielder now)
2 - Warnock (FINALLY! if he can keep up this form in the ruck we can go deep into september)
1 - Walker (4 goals and 'THAT' mark)

BYP - Zac Touhey

5. Betts - an 8 goal haul from a small forward has to win B.O.G. honours.
4. Judd - another top shelf game from Judd & may well pip Eddie for the 3 votes come Brownlow Medal night.
3. Murphy - worked & worked until he got into the game & then had a sensational 2nd half.
2. Robinson - crash, bang, boom, yet again Robbo did some serious grunt work.
1. Warnock - loving his ruck work, giving our midfielders an armchair ride.

BYP - Laidler - just so reliable in defence again tonight.

Soft Bombers with about 8 injuries, which allowed the cream to rise, so tough this week, but...

5 Betts. His best game for Carlton
4. Judd. Thy will be done
3. Armfield. Showed lots of dash and poise
2. Murphy. Not really near the ball int he first half, but fired magnificently in the second to put it beyond doubt.
1. Warnock. Was inventive in the ruck and worked hard up and down the ground

BYP. Laidler. Accomplished performance.

5 Judd - quite simply the best game I've seen form him. absolutely outstanding all over the ground.
4 Betts - eight-straight. incredible skills, brilliant footy mind, his lead up work and positioning was incredible, particularly: (i)the Essendon back-line pass cut off in the first quarter and (ii)the handball to Murphy on 50, and sprint forward to take the handball from Judd and score in the third. Almost impossible not to give him 5 votes, but Judd was THAT good.
3 Murphy - great game, really superb skills and footy smarts
2 Scotland - held the back-line together in the first half, strong all night.
1 Walker - four straight and mark of the year.

Also deserved votes:
Armfield, fast, elusive, smart, scored 3
Gibbs, such class and skill and time to think
Yarran, speed, drive, broke the lines
Henderson, good work all night, becoming much more certain about his role

BYP Duigan

Good coaching form Ratten too - after half time we played it on our terms.

5. Judd - The guy is just a freak! Hand him his 3rd Brownlow....
4. Betts - Great game, hope he can keep his form up
3. Murphy - held for the first half, but dominated the second...Is a true A grader
2. Scotland - Continues his AA form...very important to our side
1. Warnock - He is growing with each game..Is going to be a very very good ruckman in a few years time.

BYP - Yaz

5. Judd. Simply amazing, one of his best games this year.
4. Betts. 8 goals and pressure all night.
3. Murphy - to lift himself higher after being held in the first quarter is a credit to his strength of character.
2. Robinson - crash, bash, pressure, turnovers. Seems to lift the others.
1. Armfield. Thought it was his best last night.

5. Judd - simply a masterful performance. What an amazing difference when his kicking is on song.
4. Betts - would have been BOG on any other night.
3. Robinson - at it all night and his one real blemish for the night was a totally undeserved 50 against him. Now Robbo, just work on your long kicking :)
2. Murphy - sublime and unstoppable in the second half.
1. Armfield - this vote could have gone to any of about 10 players, but the underdogs deserve their day.

BYP - Henderson (surely he qualifies?) another break-even performance on a quality forward. By my reckoning, he's only really been beaten by the in-form forward of the competition since he went back.

Honourable mentions - Simpson again, Scotland again, Gibbs again - the support roles these guys play for our team are vital. And Walker's game and that mark would also have been worthy of votes any other week. And of course Kruezer, so nice to see him taking marks in the forward half and kicking goals!

5. Judd (his best bit of play was the gather in the goal square, pulled his initial handball attempt and then gave to Eddie. To be able stop himself on an instinctive motion just proves how good he is)
4. Eddie (can't go past the game of his life)
3. Laider
2. Murphy
1. Robinson

5. Betts (sorry, but I couldn't go past the 8 straight)
4. Judd (awesome 4 quarter effort, will probably get 3 Brownlow votes ahead of Eddie)
3. Murphy
2. Walker
1. Gibbs

BYP - Laidler

Apologies to Armfield. Flipped a coin between him and Gibbs for the last vote. Gibbs won. :p
