The AFL may still shaft us in the finals, and their defence will be that they looked after us in R23.
How convenient for them that they can market this as doing it for Hawthorn, while in reality they are doing it for the Swans.

Yes, but we could be playing the same side two weeks in a row with nothing to play for first time up.

Fremantle didn't play us twice in a row in 2010. They rested up against us in Rnd 21, then brought them back for Rnd 22 vs Carlton. So they had a game to get back into the swing of things before the finals.

Anyway it's not going to happen. Pretty sure I recall after the 2011 loss to the Cats that Clarko? said we wouldn't be doing that again.

Make no mistake, the AFL are looking to give the Swans the most time between games here, they couldn'tgive a stuff about the Hawks, we just lucked out because we are playing the AFL love child.

Yes, the narrative has been "we want to ensure top placed Hawthorn are given the greatest advantage" however that's BS of the highest order... it's all a smoke screen to hand Sydney the same advantage and potentially bigger one if they say finish 3rd (and us 1st) and they play a Sat final vs Geel off an 8 day break as opposed to us who will inevitably be given the Fri night final and only 7 days.

Absolute bunch of crooks down at AFL House.. they spoon feed BS and expect us to just lap it up. This same BS cost us a premiership last year and they're doing the same 12 months down the track. Might only make a 1% difference.. but if you start adding them all up, they tip the scales heavily in the favour of the COLA Swans.

It has only worked out well for us by coincidence as we are playing Sydney.
If we have top 3 sewn up I would still rest half the side.

I understand you want your premium soldiers fresh for finals but it's such a fine line - don't want to flirt with form and team cohesion is paramount so a strong finals push. Still it (resting players) seemed to work for Freo a couple seasons ago against us.

So as an interstate member my daughter and I get tix, the club sent me an uneditable pdf form to fill in and return by email so I can get the wife a ticket.

They just confirmed that I have to print it, fill it in, scan it, attach it and then email it back...its just so convenient !! Their fax must be broke!
