Anyone in WA had a "West Coast Whopper" from HJs? Was at work the other day and saw it in the item system. Anything different about it?
I just did a quick Google and it looks like its just a normal Whopper burger but it is free on Whopper Wednesday if an Eagles player kicks a goal from outside 50 on the weekend.

Ah sweet. Was thinking it had fried Eagle in it or something :p

Nope. They’re the one you can claim as a ticket holder if a WC player kicks a 50m goal.

Edit: as above.

I’m now convinced that you and your brother are the same person
A bit of random but footy-related info. I work at Hungry Jack's and was looking through the menu and discovered there's this menu item called 'West Coast Eagles Whopper'. Not too sure if it's different to the regular one but It's most likely a promotional thing for the WA stores. Would be sick if they had special boxes for them but seeing the graphic design work of HJs, I think I'd rather not.

THE FIX IT FORMALE

My way to fix fixturing and home ground advantage in particular with the Victorian clubs.

- Melbourne based clubs play each Interstate club AWAY (8 Interstate trips- WA trip can occur on back to back weekends)
- Geelong plays all home games at GMHBA Stadium
- Derbies and BIG Rivalries to be played TWICE a year.
- Interstate teams will play 50% or greater VIC games at the MCG and permitted a training/captains run beforehand
- Themed Rounds to include Heritage Round, Community Round (Supporting causes/charities) and Rivalry Round
- Each club to receive at least 4 FTA Channel 7 games a season for an equal distribution. This season Gold Coast have 1 game on FTA (tomorrow) and Brisbane have received only 2 games.

This way, Interstate footy would thrive as big drawing teams would come to these grounds to play every year. Interstate teams will be better prepared to play at the MCG in finals. It will make equal travelling across the whole league.

I will present this to Rex Hunt on Footy Nighline after 11pm tonight on 3AW.

Let me know what you think and if there should be any adjustments to my proposal?

Point 1 and point 4 conflict. You are saying that Vic clubs should be playing away games interstate, that means interstate teams cannot travel to the MCG for away games.

they can, as the season would still be a 23 or 24 game season. you would have 11 or 12 home games. so you could have 6-8 home games for vic clubs vs vic clubs while the remaining 3-4 could be interstate teams. teams will still play some teams twice

This I agree with, would give some of the VIC minnows a chance to host a game at the 'G too. At a minimum all non-vic clubs that aren't shit/Gold Coast should play at least 3 games at the 'G a year with a higher percentage given to teams with a shot at the flag.

Ideally the AFL would move to a dedicated streaming service similar to watchAFL with a home/away/neutral commentary team, fox have been able to prevent any hope of that ever being a reliable option though through their sabotage of the NBN.

'interstate footy' is fine, West Coast are averaging 52,000 this season with the Crows and dockers up over 40,000 despite both being outside the 8. This is with each of these sides only getting to host fans from the state once each year, compare that with St. Kilda, Hawthorn, the Bulldogs and North who play a 'derby' every second home game and still manage to draw >30,000.

North can't fill out Etihad, why do we need to host at the G?
Just hand us more away games there, like most interstate teams we're only ever there once or twice a year atm.

No vic club can fill the ‘G on their own though, moving one or two games there helps everyone have more than a couple. Seems like the best way to go imo.

Is there anything new for Port Andonis1997?
(Fingers and toes crossed for the number panel to be removed from the home and the silver PS to be ****** off never to be seen again)
Doesn't appear to be. All they showed were the fronts of the home and away guernseys, so I couldn't see any pre-season tops nor any number panels.
Which club is leaving ISC?
'Twas rumoured that Sydney would go with Adidas, but I cannot confirm the switch is taking place.
