It was a mark. He controlled it all the way to the ground and it bounced out with the impact. I've had many an argument about that mark, although it seems I'm in the minority unfortunately
Yes, but did he have full control of the ball before or after the boundary line??

Idea for a thread, something I think rabbitoh suggested a few years ago.

Go through all possible jumper match ups, home and away, and sort out what everyone thinks should be worn. I was thinking I could set up 18 Google Forms (one form for each of the teams, with 17 pages of the ideal possible matchup), and just let it build up for the majority of the offseason. Come end of season, tally the results and see what the results are.

Options in the poll would not be limited to what we have seen in the past year, but also include popular concepts from the "Jumper Ideas" thread, and popular designs for previous years. For example, for Adelaide, I'd also include the yellow jumper, even with an option for yellow shorts, the GWS AFLX jumper, the red Bulldogs jumper, etc.; as well as the green Dockers concept that could be used as an away jumper. Details over which Carlton monogram and which West Cost Eagles head go on the jumper would not be considered in this, and can be argued after the fact. The "other" option would also be there just in case it's not a option, but I will try to cover as many options to pick from in the thumbs.

The OP for this thread would consist of links to all the 18 Googles Forms, as well as a Google Spreadsheet that auto updates whenever someone completes the process. I know this could take a long time for someone to finish, but it'll be very interesting to see what everyone thinks, and what comes out and the most popular or realistic option.

It's basically your chance to play around with the clash policy.

Yes. He did my goals video as well. I think the "reaction" genre as a whole is terrible, but I can't begrudge this guy for trying to get into the sport. He's just ripping off my views :p
So it's yours, eh?
WELL, during your goals video, I saw this jumper match-up... 2006, at the GABBA, the Lions wearing their clash!! Mero you might want to take note of this one when you complete your 2006 round-by-round section!

Also, is this during the finals? The scorebug used to be blue for finals on channel 10, if I recall correctly.

It was because this was technically Melbourne's home match against Brisbane (they sold the games to the gabba to generate revenue & clear up the debt at the time)

All I know of this game is that it was Melbourne's home game, so the clash jumper policy reverted to the away team, which technically was Brisbane. According to this article on the Dees website from 2016:
For some years in the early 2000s, Melbourne played home games against Brisbane at the Gabba, receiving funds in return for the change of venue. While it may have seemed an unlikely setting for success, there were exceptions that made the experience worthwhile
Also, the scorebug for 2006 is consistent with the rest of the season:

As has been alluded to, Melbourne played a home game against Brisbane at the Gabba from 2001-2008.

As for the channel 10 scorebug, this was the redesign introduced in 2005. It was blue for two seasons, before changing to grey in 2007.

I made a couple of errors with the years, I think that one had an annotation over the top that changed it to 2005. But yeah Brisbane used to wear their clash at the Gabba against the Dees because of the sold home game.

It was blue for two seasons, before changing to grey in 2007.

Until you pointed out that the 2007-11 scorebug was grey, I hadn't even noticed. Always looked like a bluey-grey (and to be honest I couldn't tell the difference between 2006 and 2007 previously), but looking back now there is quite a noticeable difference

There was also a slight change of font when the grey was brought in. Second version was much better overall.

Overall, it looks much cleaner compared to earlier versions. Everything you want in a scorebug - not in the way, easy to read, the key information is all there and it looks aesthetically pleasing

Its still pretty early to be discussing AFLW guernseys, but while it's on my mind - Geelong are wearing a 'Pioneer Guernsey' in their first AFLW match, featuring the names of VFLW players and pioneer members. Retailing for $100 at The Cats Shop.

The design of the 'Pioneer Guernsey' also shows us what the template and design will look like for the season - number panel and a navy block on the top of the number panel the only differences from the AFL jumper

Does anyone happen to know where I may be able to find a clearer image of this all team display used prominently throughout the early 2000's?

I'm starting to lay the groundwork for a portfolio and would like to use the design as part of the background for each teams presentation. Cheers :thumbsu:

Aaahh, please don't. That'll be way too overpowering behind the designs.. If you're going to use it, be subtle.
