Dunno if it's been mentioned on another thread - but Race 8 at Flemington today was the 'Amanda Elliott' listed race.
First place was a horse named Catoggio that paid $41 for the win. Second place was a horse named Bosustow!!! The quinella paid $38 - probably all to Carlton supporters.
Talk about omen bets....and the funniest part was Eddie McGuire was hosting it on Ch9 - he was chewing his words when he had to spit out the results

I love the creams & the tim tams of the selections but all time fave is very left field - Malt O Milk
