Brogan is a much more pure ruckman than fraser. Ala Fraser a better forward thus more ruck time went to Zac Smith in 2011 than what Giles will get in 2012 because Brogan is a far superior staring ruck than he is forward. Both are physically mature. Smith turns 22 next year, i think Giles is a bit older at 23/34.

Smith had a very high avg in the VFL scored some big tones from memory and people were thinking he was a great 2nd rucks pick last year, except we had some standouts including Drew Petrie a must pick and also Dean Cox the top end premium who was going to raise his avg by 5-10 to 107. Smith went on to avg 70. So personally i cant see Giles avg too much more than what Smith did at 70, maybe he can get to 75 but that's pushing it.

My question, i have two?

Warnie and/or Dogs54 as you both work in the virtual sports/champion date/wit dream team in some way would you guys be able to clarify the new trading DPP rule? The water seems very murky and it can basically change an entire side depending on the rule. Thanks.

Also what are peoples thoughts on bigfooty members never getting logged out? unless they log themselves out. When you are writing a long post or do something else in the mean time like find stats/research to back up your argument than the automatic lock out is very annoying and sometimes you can lose important parts of your post if you don't copy it right. Surely it wouldn't be too hard for BF or CHIEF to make it like this? thoughts

You can do this with bigfooty, on the top right there is a "remember my details" or something along those lines so don't log out on that computer unless you click the logout button. ;)

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but what's the go with Lenny Hayes this year. Looking to include him in my team but unsure of how is injury rehabilitation is going/if he's expected to miss any games early on. Cheers.

75 avg for 8 rounds will net you approx $160k. Sounds like a rookie who has done his job to me

No doubt about it. Giles will make you a bit of coin, i never questioned that, that isnt what we are debating. We are debating whether your better off having Giles starting or an extra midfield rookie starting, who will score more? I think at least 4 midfield rookies with Midfield eligibility will outscore O and Giles. You disagree with that?

Number 1 pick and highly touted gun recruit David Swallow only averaged 76 last year so it could be a close call.

Are there any midfield rookies in 2012 that are more highly rated than him?

Meant to be going very strong at the moment, his coach recently said if they were playing football now his name would be up for selection which shows he's ready.

Shiels was/is rated pretty highly, well probably for the same period as Swallow. But a lot of being rated so highly and going at number 1 can mean they have plenty of potential to push their game further.

I think the GC factor would have held him back a bit as well and if he was in a stronger team he probably would have scored much better which is something that does have me worried with selecting GWS rookies.

That said, I'm sure there will be a few more then 4 rookie priced players in the midfield that average over 75 but I guess it's whether they're playing from round 1 and if they're on the radar or not as some come from nowhere.

Being highly touted has nothing to do with it. You could be the most highly touted individual ever, but not be ready for senior/AFL footy, it has no merit.

Coniglio would go close, Shiels aswell.

Heppell avg 83, which i think was close to the highest midfield rookie, not sure.

But as i said in the ruck threads, last year Zac Smith had who taking time off him in the ruck? he basically played 95% of his time on the field as a ruckman. Fraser missed games and played mainly forward due to GC having a lack of key targets up front.

Brogan is not a forward, never really played forward. Hes a pure ruckman, who has decent tapwork and can lay tackle and have a big presence in the middle. He will take plenty of time away from Giles, no question much more than what Fraser did to Smith.

Guys....

How many "Groups" can you join....is it unlimited, or just the one....

Which would be the best duo, only base your answer on output as I have enough cash for them and I'll have enough left over either way (also they're all in th esame bye set so that doesn't matter either).

Fyfe + Pav
Zaharakis + Fye
Pav + Zaharkis

Which pair would give me the best duo assuming I don't trade them throughout the year.

Highly touted in the DT sense you noob. :p

I presume there is a partial lockout for the GWS/Syd game... so I'm just wondering will other people in my league be able to see my team at that stage, before the first full lockout?
