Rank the best coaches in the AFL 1- 16.
I know Craig and Clarkson have yet to prove themselves but I thought it would be interesting to see how everyone rates the coaches from the best down. Everyone will have their reason I'm sure.

Proven coaches - top class. Premierships are what it's about and these guys have them.

1. Mathews (Brisbane)

Most likely to join the above group

6. Roos (Sydney)
7. Thompson (Geelong)

Average - not bad, but not great either

9. Eade (Bulldogs)

11. Thomas (St Kilda)
12. Daniher (Melbourne)

Not up to AFL coaches job

Not yet.

But his record isn't too bad. 2 seasons. 21 wins - 22 losses - 1 draw (47.7% win rate)

Yet plenty of so called experts such as yourself rate our list among the worst and continue to tip us for spoons or bottom 4 finishes.

If our list is so bad - Laidley must be a super coach to have us knocking on the door of the 8 the last 2 seasons.

If we have a crap list, and we have just missed finals because we lost track after round 16 in two years since Laidley has taken over, then is Dean a good coach?

Is he just crap and is holding back a good list?

Not gonna do a whole list, but Connolly would have to be down the bottom.........if Pagan, Mathews etc were coaching Freo last year they would've been certainties for the top 4. An incredibly talented list yet a woeful coach
