Awaiting your response re: De Lucas, Zenden and Lampard ;)

Have you got Foxtel, mate?
If you do, I suggest you watch the Chelsea game Sunday morning. Lampard has been a little unlucky in his past three league meetings. The guy looks dangerous. He consistently gets shots on targets, and he has been inches away from goals on numerous occasions. He scores two match-winners earlier in the year.

Zenden is good. He has been injured; therefore, he will not hit form straight away.

De Lucas can be good at times.

Mate, I have foxtel, but I wouldn't waste my time watching the rent boys.

Lampard is just a fat ****e, there are many other better central midfielders in the premiership. At the end of the day, being 'inches' away from goals doesn't mean squat. Two match-winners earlier in the year isn't a lot either. He showed far greater potenital at West Ham than he ever has at Chelsea. Hammers must be laughing at the huge amount of dosh Chelsea paid for him.

Zenden, is crap. Period. A big diver too. Could be a better player if he spent more time upright than on the turf.

De Lucas looks lost when he plays, and hasn't done a damn thing.

Bit harsh? Looks a very good prospect.

He does look a very good prospect. I didnt put him 15th because i dont think hes any good....more just the fact that i think we have 14 better players than him at the moment. You could probably move him above Forlan in my list.

On his performances this season, O'Shea has been one of the five best and most consistent players in the team. He should get extra credit because he's a centre back who has been playing full back (he's also been able to get forward and send in some excellent crosses).

My top twenty at Old Trafford.

Roy Keane: The heart and soul of the side. Watch us lift when he gets back.
Ryan Giggs: His best is the best. Doesn't produce it as much as he used to, but I think that when he is on, we are nigh on unbeatable.
David Beckham: Haven't missed him as much due to Ole's good work on the right, but with Becks in the side we have a danger on the right, in the middle, in dead ball situations, and have more versatility allowing Solkjaer and Forlan to play up front.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy: One of the most prolific strikers in the world hasn't lost any of his touch from last year. Always a danger.
Paul Scholes: Has the ability to change a match against the run of play with just one pass or shot. Everyone's favourite red-nut is a threat from in close or long range, and could probably be doing better this season.
Fabien Barthez: Great season so far, saving our skins many a time. Any critics from last season have shut up, with the save against Arsenal and the save late against liverpool stand outs.
Rio Ferdinand: When fit and playing well he will no doubt rise up, but has yet had the chance to prove himself in red. Looking forward to how he slots into our defence upon his return.
Gary Neville: A few mistakes against the Bitters will be what he is remembered for thus far this season, but has put in some magnificant tackles in games since which have been goal saving. Immensely underrated.
Nicky Butt: Missed most of the year through injury, and is still a little way off. I think he is the most consistent midfielder in the league, and while not brilliant, he gets the job done.
John O'Shea: Has been given the chance to develop in defence in a wide spot, and his attacking flare has made him a favourite of mine. Isn't afraid to run with the ball and his defensive positioning is spot on. I would like him to hold his spot when Rio comes back.
Mikael Silvestre: A big improver in the left of defence. Defending well, and has been supporting perfectly in attacking situations. Not flashy, but goes about his job without fuss.
Ole Gunnar Solkjaer: Hasn't taken the opportunities when they have been presented in front of goal, but in Beckham's absense he has been sensational on the right.
Juan Sebastien Veron: Has just started to find the form which won our services. Was brilliant in the first half against Arsenal, and backed up to be sensational in the Champions League. has he finally settled to the English style of game?
Wes Brown: Return from injury has been great, forming a top class defensive pair with O'Shea. Will probably make way for Rio, but may be able to hold out Blanc for the first defender on the bench.
Laurent Blanc: Is slow, is old, but can still play at this level. Shouldn't be starting with the young blood coming through, but no doubt his experience and positioning could be used off the bench from time to time.
Diego Forlan: Defied the critics by going on a mini-goal spree a few weeks ago, including a double against Liverpool. Has been making plenty of 'ghost runs' and with his long range shots and confidence with the ball, could be the creative attacker we have been looking for.
Phil Neville: Played sensationally against Arsenal in the midfield, but hasn't been very useful in other clashes. Should be a bench player with others coming back from injury.
Quinton Fortune: Poor bastard has Ryan Giggs to beat for a spot. Has done well when given a chance, but the chances have been few and far between. Patience is needed by the talented South African.
Ricardo: Back up keeper who is barely used. Haven't seen enough of him to judge.
Roy Carroll: Relegated to third choice due to Ricardo's signing.

If he knocked enough motivation into Giggs at the Christmas party the other night he could end up being the most important player in your squad. Maybe you could put behind goals dueing matches, Giggsy couldn't be caught running the other way. :D:D:D

worse than Seth Johnson (ok maybe not THAT bad hey Leeds fans? :D)

Give him a break Hilly. Once he gets over his injury problems he will be a very good addition to the midfield. We are yet to see the best of him and he is still only young.

How's Igor Biscan going?

Biscan?! He's an out and out dud, and I don't think you'll find any kopites that disagree.

Top 16 ... idiot.

Sorry we have a large enough squad to warrant 20 spots. I know having such a weak squad as you means you have to scrape to get 16 players worthy, let alone 20, but just hold back your Manchester envy for just a moment, please. I'll just go back and delete the last four.

By the way, be there by 6pm at Albert Park tomorrow. ;) Your email needs to be cleaned of space.

Veron is so classy that he doesnt need no adjusting period..

However, he and Beckham cant play in the same team..

Watch Veron's form start dipping, when Manchester United start to attack from the right again when Beckham is playing 90 mins.

Veron is the best player at Manchester United, he just doesnt fit in well.

I'll have a go at this.........

1.Forlan - those two goals against the granny stabbers move him from about 18 to No.1
2.Keano - still the heart and soul
3.Ruud - carries the attack
4.Silvestre - far and away United's player of the year at this stage
5.Scholes - when he fires so does the team
6.Beckham - always gives 100%. Mind you has anyone else noticed that in the past two seasons United's best spells have been when he is out of the team. Best crosser in the game though
7.Barthez - recent form has been awesome. Hopefully it continues....
8.GNev - 'Gary Neville is a red he hates scousers'
9.Butt - was growing in stature each game before his injury
10.Veron - European form 1, League form 20. Therefore will put him somewhere in between. Recent form promising. More of the same please.
11.Ole - Recent form on the right has been sensational. His versitility is important
12/13/14 - Rio, Wes and JO'S - Can't split 'em. When Rio has an injury free run in the side will move up
15.Giggs - Looks disinterested IMHO. Virtually anonomous this season. O'Shea makes more runs down the left wing than he does at the moment. The quickest he has moved lately has been to celebrate goals. Unsettled by transfer rumours? Complacent? Maybe needs some competition for a place in the team as United have no real left sided options apart from Fortune and the young fella Richardson Scintillating at his very best. Thats what makes his recent form so disapointing.

On this years form...

1. Emre Belozoglu - IMHO the most impressive player at Inter this season. He can play as a winger, defensive midfielder or even as a support striker. Very glad Arsenal didn't get him, Inter plan on signing him till 2007.

2. Christian Vieri - Brilliant once again. The only dissapointing part of his season has been his failure to score in the Champions League. He leads the Serie A in scoring and he's probably been responsible for at least half of Hernan Crespo's goals.

3. Javier Zanetti - Mr Reliable. Rarely gets beaten defensively and he's a constant threat on his long, mazy runs. Zanetti is the perfect captain.

4. Ivan Cordoba - Only a very small man but he usually controls the centre of defence. He's now the captain of Colombia and they've even taken Escobar's number out of retirement so he can wear it. I can't remember him being beaten this year.

5. Hernan Crespo - Prolific scorer, especially in the Champions League. He's been more than we could've hoped for. Crespo is better in the air than I thought, he's almost at Vieri's level.

6. Francesco Toldo - The big man has been as reliable as ever. He hasn't made any blunders since joining Inter last season. He's a little dodgy from crosses every now and then, but his shot blocking ability is as good as anyone's.

7. Fabio Cannavaro - After a few nervous performances early in the season he has hit back hard. He still has plenty of improvement in him, but he's well on the way to recapturing his absolute best form.

8. Luigi Di Biagio - Solid as always. He's always been brilliant defensively, but the offensive side to his game has come along beautifully. He has two 'doubles' to his name this season (Piacenza and Bayer Leverkusen)

9. Alvaro Recoba - Hector Cuper has really made life tough for Il Chino this season. Recoba needs to play regularly to produce his best. Unfortunately he's always on and off the bench. He's still managed to have some great matches, and score some cracking goals.

10. Matias Almeyda - Was very injury prone with Lazio and Parma, but he's managed to stay fit for most of this season. He's played more than I thought he would, and he's produced some of the form that made him one of the Argie's first picked a few years back.

11. Giovanni Pasquale - Unlucky not to be further up the list. Only 20 years old but plays like a veteran. I can definitely see this bloke in an Azzurri shirt in the future. He might not be quite as good as the current Italian left back, but he'll do well for himself.

12. Domenico Morfeo - He's been ok on the left wing. He is one of the best technical players in Italy, but he's far too inconsistent. He has worked hard on the defensive side of his game.

13. Okan Buruk - Tough, hard at it player. He's done well on the right wing, but he's a bit too dour to play there all the time. I'm a big fan, but he hasn't played much this season.

14. Marco Materazzi - He'd be much further up if not for injuries.

15. Francesco Coco - Very dissapointing this season. He's been carrying a back injury, but he's not showing the form of an International player. He was excellent in the second half of the Milan derby, but that's about it.

16. Sergio Conceicaio - Just can't get it done. He's one of the most talented players at Inter, but he's truly lost the plot. Hopefully we'll sell him in January.

X_box_X,

I think you pretty much got it right, however I believ Hasselbaink is no longer our best or most valuable player. Realistically, his form this year has not been good in previous years. His lacked the consistency to be up there with the Owen's and Henry's. I'd rate Desailly or Lampard as our most valuable player.

Apart from that I agree with you.
