Look pretty good mate, like the risks you are taking with Walker, Hall & Hunt. But they might just pay off. How much cash do you have left over? An upgrade in the mids could be worthwhile.

Backs:

Goodwin comes with a large price tag for a 33 year old.
Will he maintain his 09 average..? Personally i don't think so.

Jess Smith is an unknown, obviously you'll have to monitor his progress, but at this stage is not expected to line up Round 1.

But Goddard and Hodge are proven SC guns, fingers crossed both stay fit.

And a new enviroment for J Mac i think will improve his SC scores, and considering the amount of time the ball spends in melbourne's defence, he will have plenty of opportunity to touch the ball.

MIDS:

Ablett, Hayes, Vince, Dalziell - great combination.

Ablett and Hayes you don't really have to say much.
Vince is ready to explode, and i think this will be a big year for him.
A fit Dalziell is a ball magnet and will slot nicely into the Eagles Midfield.

Walker is a big risk, only played 13 games in two years. Maybe downgrade to Trengove or bring Morabito on and replace Walker which will free up nearly $100,000.

RUCKS:

If Mitch Clark continues on his 09 form, you should only see him improve as the season progresses.

Robbie Warnock is a huge risk, risking a doughnut there if he doesn't get on the park as Skipper and Gawn aren't guaranteed game time.

FORWARDS:

Goodes, Riewoldt and Pavlich - one word, elite.

Franklin misses round 1 due to suspension, but will improve on his disappointing 09 season. Apparently is tearing up the track and is looking in great nick.

Hall and Burton are huge risks, i'd only go with one of them and find another forward who is guaranteed to play 18+ games. Robert Murphy is cheap at $353,000 and averaged 90+ in 2008.

You've laid the foundations for a pretty good team, just watch the NAB cup closely and see where you can tinker with you team.

Look pretty good mate, like the risks you are taking with Walker, Hall & Hunt. But they might just pay off. How much cash do you have left over? An upgrade in the mids could be worthwhile.

Close to the best backline i have seen without taking too much away from your midfield, rucks and forwards..

Like your midfield. Although Palmer may not play till round 5/6 as his knee has flared up again.

Forward line has potential but just watch the amount of games each player has played the previous year. 4 of your forwards played less than 12 games and 2 of them only played 17.

Very nice team though.

By all reports he is moving well at training, even lateral movement.
If he does line up Round 1 which he is on track for, i am going to slot him in my team somewhere, at his price could be a great pick up.

David Hille is only a maybe for Round 1, monitor his progress. If he's selected round 1, all sweet.

and you can always bring back Franklin after the first price change as his price won't change till the week after.

Sounds good mate. I think Hille is gunna have a great season too, he was in top form before he did his knee.

I traded Watts for Ballentyne, Palmer for Scully. I'm alot happier with that.

Trade Palmer for Martin and use that to upgrade Daniel Kerr, should be around the Deledio/Watson price range.

Cox is underdone and struggling. Will share ruck duties with Natanui and don't expect him to average his mid 110's..

Downgrade to Sandilands and add that to your 94,000 you have left over, should give you about $140,000 and upgrade Josh Kennedy or Knights in your forward line.

Rusling is no certain starter, watch the NAB cup for the best performing rookie in the forward line and see who gets picked round 1 and go with them.

Yeah thanks for the feedback. I know Kennedy seems a little from left field but he's a personal favourite, a bit like Harbrow. Might to what you said about Cox but like a lot of other players this time of season its a watch and wait thing.

Really don't think Watts will be the type to score nice score consistently seem him being a bit liuke taylor walker last year and think rohan would be a better option. But ither then that think you have a fairly solid linbe up

Looks a good side, but the forwards need some work. I like McCarthy, if he stays injury free i think he could have a ripper year. Im pretty sure Sydney have said that Rohan is nowhere near AFL ready, so i would think he would not play very much. I like Hurn down back also, he has all the attributes needed to be a Josh Drummond type sc'er.

I think it needs a little work
Hurley is over priced, and fisher wont play so maybe downgrade one of those to upgrade the other. Armfield turns it over a hell of a lot and i wouldnt get pears, so like i said before downgrade one and upgrade the other . And trade x clarke to a 94k and bring trengove on the field
